No offense to Podunk (and I really blame Yahtzee), but the intro feels like something the very people he despises would choose, the average gamer or perhaps the average webcomic. There’s nothing sardonic about the music at all.
I hate the new music, and every week ZP has a new ad vector. I wouldn’t say the content has – as people claim on every page of this thread – “jumped the shark,” but the presentation is in the shitter.
Yeah, I tried to write four or five sentences saying something similar and realize it’s just better going the QFT route.

This is true, and it’s by design.

You’re all nerds arguing over the intro music to a fakey review site (No offense to Podunk).

Perhaps you didn’t know this, but we don’t have fair use in Australia. So I can see why he’d want to stop.

That actually only makes the music MORE awesome.
That could work, if the opening montage played off that by rejecting it. Instead the video seems to embrace it in earnest (not humorously).
I can understand playing it straight because finding similar tone that didn’t cheapen ZP or just sound corny would be difficult. No offense to Russ Pitts, but maybe Yahtzee should’ve given the intro montage a shot to work some humor in.
So what’s with the intro music to the bonus review? Is it because its copyright has lapsed, or is he setting up a joke?
I laughed when I saw the result of his calculation. “I’m not a mathematician.”

He mentions it in the September column.
A link to the setpember column maybe? C’mon, it’s Monday, quit making us work so hard.
How about an answer to why his column ended?
Satire of satire? Double Kill!
He’s leaving to spend more time with his family.
This is the internet.
Which isn’t to say that isn’t the case, but that there are better dikes to stick your finger in.
