Your link is slightly borked. I think you want this.

Fantastic review, makes me want to play it even less than I did before. ;)

I think there were other things that he could’ve mocked for a better effect.

Like Tom, he fucked up in his class selection too, as well as in going into a PvP server.

I like that he craps on Age of Conan while the Escapist’s Zero Punctuation page is bordered with a full-page Age of Conan ad.

Yay, a Boris Vallejo joke.

Best (by which I mean hilariously semi-obscure) freeze-frame joke yet, during the part where he mentions his in-game minions.

When this was previewed on X-Play yesterday it still had fair-use (cough) music at the end. What gives?

Music bad.

Maybe they licensed a piece of a song, just for X-Play? (Is that a TV program? If so, maybe they had to?)

You’re that.

Liquor Giants fans got it! (Their cover of “Hold Tight” is boss!)

I really like the music, and think it works awesome for the end credits. Well done!

I miss the random music clips at the beginning, and the new intro feels a little long to me, but we’re only talking about a few seconds, so no biggie.

Thanks, I appreciate that. :)

I find the Flash thing sometimes appears slowly, so refresh and have a little patience. If that fails, let a cache help you.

Add .nyud.net:8080 to the domain part (so it’s http://www.escapistmagazine.com.nyud.net:8080/ + the rest), and see if it loads better then.

Podunk, I think the music’s bloody great, moreso considering the shite that normally appears on podcasts like these. Ignore the whingers! They’re only bitter that ZP isn’t risking breaking copyright laws anymore.

Ahhhh, I figured it out I think. If you right click the player and check the settings, it has a max it will let the player download. I downloaded the AITD one which was 117KB - more than the default 100KB that mine had. Opened it up, went back to RSS, reopened it and it worked. Yay!

Edit: no, more fickle than that. But the AITD review has loaded at least.

This week’s was particularly funny because of all the Age of Conan advertisements that had taken over the site.

Not really. I’d honestly rather have no intro music than music - I even mute the intro when I remember to. This is not about “zomg ur music sucks haha”, I’m just expressing my opinion.

The new music is not bad. It just does not jive with the content of the review. It also replaces what had become a trademark joke with, well, with nothing. Having a never-changing intro/outro to his piece makes it something you watch once or twice and then wish you could just jump over with every subsequent viewing as it is basically devoid of content.

It’s entirely possible to think the new intro/outro sequences are well-done while simultaneously wishing they’d go away and the older, laid-back, funnier intro and outro would return.

I don’t mind the music when there is an intro, but I’d prefer no intro. That would fit better with his style.
