Seriously old school internet there. Right up there with Badgers!
@Navaronegun? You still with us buddy? You posted the pictures from this episode on multiple occasions upthread. What did you think of it?
Yeah, he did a great job. And it was the emotional core of the episode. It was important for us to believe he was the real Lincoln, and for Kirk to believe it.
Hahahah. I’m just glad Uhura is back! She’s alive!
Now that the show is coming to an end, I’m kind of surprised at how small a role there was for Uhura, Sulu and Chekov. At least Scotty got quite a few moments in the spotlight in this series, but these other 3 hardly got any.

Yeah, that exchange made me think of how much more layered some of these episodes would have been with someone other than the big three going on missions all the time. If I was the captain I would take the communications officer and leave the doctor at home. But then Deforest Kelly would be a background character and that’d be a shame.

Any episode that has a non-humanoid, non-energy-cloud alien gets a +1 from me. Loved the claws. And you could blame the stupidity of the premise on the cluelessness of the aliens.
I can’t believe that Lincoln could take Genghis Khan in fighting with home-made spears, though.
Spaaaak! Help me, Spaaak!
Kahless missed his calling.

I think rock alien may actually be the coolest alien to date. Let’s see its competition:
White Horned Ape
The Horta
Salt Sucker
Gorn
Are there any full-costume aliens I’m missing? Flashing lights and people with weird makeup don’t count.
Flying fried eggs? Not full-costume aliens, but pretty cool.
The Angel guy is sorta full costume.

From Operation:. Annihilate? Those were kinda weird and alieny. Add Flying Fried Egg!

The OK Corral one had non-humanoid aliens. Also the black magic one had them when we saw their true form at the very end.

Yeah, good call I forgot them too. They sure were freaky deaky.
The folks from the other galaxy who were in human form and wanted to take over our galaxy were said to look different, but I don’t recall ever seeing them in that form.
Don’t forget the freakiest alien of them all!
Any chance of annoying your family by watching Star Trek in front of them?
Btw, I know our plan was to go straight from Star Trek Season 3 to Star Trek Animated Series Season 1, but it looks like only CBS All Access still is showing that series now. My own CBS All Access membership expires on April 23rd I believe. So technically that will only let me watch and discuss the first 2 episodes on our weekly schedule. But I think I might watch a few episodes in advance before my membership expires. I’m sure there will be another free month of CBS All Access given away soon. (In fact, the one Patrick Stewart gave to everyone (GIFT) might still work by April 24, I haven’t checked the expiration date on that one)
My wife has decided she needs to see Tiger King so I killed my CBS All Access subscription so that Netflix might live. So I guess if you guys want to watch the animated series, I’ll have to bow out.
I was underwhelmed. Ozark is out though!
