I don’t mind Peeps, in that I will gladly eat one. A pack of Peeps, though, would be too much. I guess that’s because I like marshmallows okay, but I don’t crave them.

Circus peanuts, though–no. Just no. They’re with candy corn at the bottom of my candy list. I don’t crave sugar enough for either of those abominations.

You eat peeps?

That’s kind of cool.

Wait, there’s more! It’s from the 2019 Westminster Peep Show (Westminster MD). They did it virtually this year and Elvis Peepsley was the winner. You can see them at https://www.gogophotocontest.com/peepshow2021/search

!!

Chicken or egg, I wonder? Because if the phrase “Westminster Peep Show” floats into your head, you pretty much have to make it happen.

The supermarket was out of regular sour cream. I bought the light version. Never again.

Get greek yogurt next time instead.

I will just hold out for the real thing.

When I was a kid, we bought IMO, an imatation sour cream. I have no idea why- this was the late ‘70s-early’ 80s, before lactose-intolerance was a thing, and hell, it isn’t even dairy-free. I hated the stuff growing up, and associated all sour cream with it. It wasn’t until I was grown up and working in the restaurant industry that I had real sour cream and realized there was a difference.

Greek yogurt (unflavored, obv, and full fat) and sour cream are basically interchangeable. It’s weird how much the same they are.

Yup. The only difference is you can add some granola and fruit and eat Greek yogurt straight. I do not recommend the same with sour cream.

I basically always stock Greek yogurt for this reason. I can use it on the rare occasion I need sour cream, and eat it normally when I don’t.

Technically not food but people do ingest them under certain circumstances

What is it? Useful to make porcelain and other things. Apparently pregnant women and children like to eat dirt (maybe a mineral deficiency?) Apparently in Georgia and other southern states this still exists in the former slave belts

(Apparently the conditions that produce these clay deposits are where the coastal plains meet the hills, which is where falls and hydropower exist, useful for cotton mills) Anyway this is all according to this video from Adam Ragusea.

Found an NPR article which is easier to consume

Oh man I remember reading that NPR article years ago on pica. It’s wild.

ABOMINATION

How does that even work?

Last time I had a Pabst my first thought was “this would be great with milk and coffee”

Heard down at the local jobsite:

“Bubba, get your ass back to work!”

“In a minute, boss. I’m on my coffee break…”

I bought those out of just perverse curiosity. They taste like an off brand version of those Starbucks frapuchonos that they sell in glass jars at gas stations.

Not as terrible as expected but still bad.

I spotted these at a gas station this morning. Fudge Brownie M&Ms.

Tastes great of course, but man, talk about sugar and calorie overload. Ugh. Poor decision.
