I’m disappointed, but I also know you don’t have easy access to better Detroit style deep dish down there.

Little Ceasers? Or … not judging because Little Ceasers pizza with bacon is my jam.
To their reckoning, pepperoni is just a salami, they have tons of different types. But I never found a one-to-one for what we’d call pepperoni here. You could easily find spicy salami, but it looks akin to what you see at the deli for salami meats. The page below has a good example. And there would be tons of them to choose from, but none tasted quite like American pepperoni, which is slightly spicy but also tender casing, soft, etc. And even the ones that do look like you think they are the right thing end up tasting extremely different, and are never used on pizzas there.
How did JMJ not sense this opportunity?

That’s what the ladies at work get when they’re looking for a cheap lunch. And I am always happy to eat their leftovers.
The patron saint of this thread:
I wonder if Tang would dissolve in Cool Whip…
I expect to see pictures in the next 72 hours. This shouldn’t need to be said, but it must be served with cottage cheese, mandarin orange wedges, and lime-green jello.
This would probably be real good. We make a blueberry no-bake cheesecake that comes out quite tasty, I’m assuming this would be just as good, even with Tang in it.
Does anyone here have a suggestion for a good mosquito trap? I’ve been spending a lot of time this summer in my backyard, and the mosquitos are, if not killing me, at least causing me and my cat a large amount of disturbance. 1,000,000 thanks in advance.

This is what you want:
Safe for animals, kills mosquito larvae.
I guess this technically fits here, because you shouldn’t eat it. Not technically food though.
I wonder if there’s people out there who eat mosquitos?
Sorry, I should have been more clear, I think my area is clear of mosquito breeding grounds, but they still sort of migrate in from the surrounding area into my backyard. So I was looking for something like this:
but I didn’t know if people here had a recommendation or a favorite
If I trap enough of them I might make a souffle.
I am sure mosquitoes are represented in the allowed bug parts per million in hit dogs.
While we’re on the subject, does anyone have advice for dealing with fruit flies? They really seem to be attracted to my citrus trees. Can’t imagine why…
Some homemade apple cider vinegar traps won’t eliminate them but should catch a lot and at least keep their numbers down to a less annoying quantity.
I’ll give that a shot. And maybe this is a good excuse to pick up a carnivorous plant.
