I like Hori joysticks so I might get the super stupid expensive one to replace my moderately stupid expensive one.

I have a sickness

A lot of the tourney player crowd have sticks with custom art on it, though this was more common in the PS2 days. Anime characters are quite popular also, especially among the Arcana Heart crowd.

There are top american players using pads. Probably not standard 360 controllers, but still. I'd say playing with a stick is far harder for most people, for a considerable amount of time, unless of course they've played in arcades growing up or something.
