Titan Quest 2

Grimlore Games is the SpellForce studio. They’ve shipped 4 games since 2013.
So they have experience in Fantasy scenarios and in real-time RPG & RTS mix gameplay. Not a perfect fit, but at least a nice overlap in more than one aspect.

As for the engine, I would expect them to use their tech from SpellForce 3: Reforged. Whatever that’s originally based on. Cut the RTS and base building parts out, double up on Diablo-clone things.

My Google-Fu depends on my level of interest for what I’m Google-Fu-ing

I just took a quick look. But their website only shows SpellForce 3 and what I am assuming are DLC for that game? Which others have they done?

And a check on Steam:

I guess you didn’t mean four distinct games?

On Steam click the name of the developer to see all of their games.

Fair enough. :)

1 game, 2 stand-alone add-ons, 1 remaster for PS5, etc. and the “Versus Edition”, which added a couple of MP modes.
A traditional problem of the SpellForce series since part 1 is that the games have an insane amount of content. I stopped playing them when the original studio was bought by EA, but I didn’t read anything indicating the new games are shorter.

Titan Fall 2 first appeared in the press on Juli 1st 2021, when the government disclosed funding a project with a certain code name with 2.5M€. It soon became clear what “Project Minerva” really is.

AFAIR, the original SF3 received good reviews for the game itself and the production values, but the release version was very buggy. It was probably pushed out the door for the Christmas 2017 business. To the dev’s credit, it received all the patching it needed.

That’s actually a different developer. ;)

Hah, weird so it is.

Watched the demo. It’s looking great IMO. Gameplay looks smooth. Kiting looks fun. I like that they are diverging from the Crate/Ironlore progression systems. Looking forward to it!

Spellforce 3 delivered. At least their Stand Alone DLC did. Great game.

And my understanding is that the Troll DLC has a storyline that is amazing, and somewhat sad. If they can bring that to TQ2, then this game will be something else.

Sadly, I bought the DLC games on different stores, so I can’t combine them in the way I want

Oh well.
