I played a ton of TQ, though most was pre-steam. As with a lot of these games, to me it really shined in coop.
Traps are now pets. That is great, I love traps, and now they work with earth and storm better.

Boo, it won’t load for me, just crashes on launch. Black windowed screen then the exe crashes.
Edit - seems the original and IT also won’t load for me either…

Did the fix the spell casting delay bug? You know if you are spamming ice shards and then suddenly casting slows down and stop for several seconds and then suddenly you spam the spell like crazy?
They did, second item on the massive patch notes list posted above.

Managed to get it working.
Ran the vcredists executables in \Steam\SteamApps\common\Titan Quest Anniversary Edition_CommonRedist
Then opened defaults.txt in \Steam\SteamApps\common\Titan Quest Anniversary Edition\Settings and changed the splash screen setting to false.
It launched then at low res. Changed the res to 1920x1080 and it crashed, then refused to launch again.
Changed the splash screen setting in defaults.txt back to true and it seems all good now.
Played for 5 levels and decided to turn off vsync - crash to desktop, won’t launch again.
Find the options.txt file in My Documents and change vsync back to true manually, still won’t launch.
Ugh. Awesome work they have done here, but I hope they sort this shit out. I’ll happily, happily pay for it again.
Wait a second, when did you become me, Rob?

Damn, no go on the Mac. I would absolutely love it if they’d somehow port this to consoles in the vein of Diablo 3!
Played this for three hours tonight. Still holds up. Such a difference having a smooth scrolling playfield though, without the judder from the older version. Textures all look the same, but the lighting seems to be improved. Perhaps I can’t remember, but I don’t recall it looking this good, sunsets and torch-lit camps in particular. Lovely stuff. And yes, launching satyrs across the screen is still enormous fun. I’m using Dream mastery which I think was introduced with the IT expansion? Anyway, waves of psionic death that shatter everything in their path are most welcome.

We are all slowly becoming one at Qt3. Tom’s plan for world domination.

I loved Titan Quest-- grabbed me much more than Grim Dawn. Definitely adding this to my extremely large backlog.
This patch might make sorcerers viable.
Got it working again after some cache integrity check fuckery and deleting some config files so the game would recreate them on launch.
Also, on advice from krok. don’t turn off vsync on account of it maybe breaking the game (physics tied to frame rate).
Yep, still great fun. Rocking pure Storm Mastery at level 10, approaching the olive branch quest. The game speed config option is such an amazing joy - I veritably fly across the maps!
Same. For some reason Grim Dawn just doesn’t work for me. I’ll totally play this for the next (checks) 27 hours until the new Path of Exile expansion drops.

That is my problem with Grim Dawn. I can’t really get into it because TQ was so much better. I just find the world of grim dawn and the ‘classes’ down right boring compared to TQ.
The walking speed was my biggest issue with this game. Lovely graphics/art design, cool classes, decent loot system, but the walking speed just seemed to dull the experience a bit.
Definitely buying this (think I also have the Gamersgate version).
Fired it up for a minute and it launched fine. Turned off Vsync and no problem. However, I did notice that on-screen text was shimmering badly enough it might keep me from playing. Hopefully something minor that gets sorted.
Is this happening to everyone, then?
