Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula

South Korean cinema is where it’s at

That title cracks me up. Is Train to Busan the new Alfred Hitchcock?

Just watched Train to Busan after picking up Netflix finally.

Very good zombie film even though fast zombies.

I’m puzzling over the geographical implications of the title. It would be like if a zombie movie in Panama were named “Zombie Movie Title: Isthmus” or a zombie movie in the Philippines were named “Zombie Movie Title: Archipelago”.

Maybe it’s one of those translation issues, such as Jimmy James’ autiobiography: Macho Business Donkey Wrestler?

Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula is releasing next weekend (August 21–23) in theaters in the U.S.! I don’t know where it’s premiering where you are, but in my area it’s airing in a double feature with the first movie…at the local drive-in.

I saw this at the drive-in last night! It was fun seeing the two movies back to back, although the sequel is a little dark for a drive-in screen. (Literally dark, not thematically dark.)

Is it any good?

I didn’t think it was as good as the first one. Kind of a different feel overall, but definitely worth seeing.
