Erm… I’m probably dense, but did a car actually crash into the tree precipitating this, or did the tree just decide to kamikaze the car?
The reason I ask is the picture of the car’s front end (which is assumably what one would expect would have crashed into the tree given the way it fell) doesn’t show much in the way of crumple zone damage. Implies he either hit the tree softly and it gave up the ghost, or it gave up the ghost and just decided to take out the hunk of metal below it in a rageful fit as it left this mortal coil.
At any rate, after a close call with a dead tree and a wrought iron fence (with me in between) I try not to take vengeful trees for granted any longer.
