Lol, the Trump campaign received messages from Russians about tapes.
This is basically Mueller punting it to Congress. There’s lots of smoke, but he can’t indict the president. That’s why there’s the impeachment process. But Mueller lives in some fantasy world where he thinks the GOP still cares about the rule of law. Hell, it didn’t even make it past the Attorney General subverting it as much as possible.
That, and if his long term view of where this is all heading is that he won’t suffer any consequences (and probably quite the opposite). Which… while a cynical take on the country’s direction, I can’t dismiss it.

I’m kindof amazed that Trump thought he would actually go down for this. Time has proven his concerns to be completely unfounded.
Even if this report had an email from Trump to Putin asking him directly to hack Clinton’s emails there’s no way Trump would be impeached. I don’t see there being anything at all, other than perhaps an actual murder with incontrovertible proof, that would cause the Senate to act, and at the time he had the House, full of total lapdogs, as well.
We’ll have to wait until the next Democratic President and House and Senate controlled by Republicans to test if the President can be indicted for a crime.
I think Trump’s very real, existential worry about what may happen if the Democrats gain control of the White House in 2020 is the rocket fuel for his re-election campaign.

It’s disturbing that someone with the best memory in the history of mankind doesn’t recall a hell of a lot of stuff in his written response to the Mueller team’s questions.
DJT is a criminal and occupies the White House. Full stop. Bill Barr needs to be impeached and removed as AG of the US. Immediately.

Yeah, possibly. It would be nice if all eleventy-billion Democratic Presidential candidates said something like: “no matter which of us you vote for in the primary and in the election, no matter which one of us wins, we need to take the Senate to have any chance at justice.”

factual conclusions on intent and credibility , which are often inferred from circumstantial evidence
and assessed without direct testimony from the subject of the investigation.
How does this statement (the intro to the written questions they asked Trump) gel with their other statement about how all the lying, etc, materially affected their conclusions? Here they’re saying they had plenty of evidence & info, no need to talk to Trump directly (WTF) - how is this not utter incompetence on Mueller’s part?
