What’s nuts is that whatever Republican in power finally decided to do the right thing, that guy is going to become head of the GOP moving forward. The corrupt GOP will fracture as soon as the first crack appears, because they are no longer grounded in anything.
All morality and ethics aside, it’s simply a intense political opportunity for anyone with the guts to say, “no more.”
I so hope that you are right, but I confess to a deeper, PTSD-fueled cynicism.
