Yeah, I think House Dems want to ask Mueller: “If the DOJ policy of not indicting a sitting President didn’t exist, would you have indicted Trump,” but I think Mueller is signalling that he’s not going to give them the answer they want. Not that he wouldn’t have indicted, just that he’s not going to tell them that he would have.
Otherwise, there’s no need for his testimony.
I disagree, but I agree that it doesn’t matter, that’s why I replied to the person who said it :P best I get back to not derailing (even if I really want to scream Brexit is not the same).

Likely true, but the point is that virtually nobody read the report. If he testifies and only answers by quoting that report, it’s still a TV event that will dominate media coverage and expose far more people to what that report actually says.
This is about moving public perceptions, perhaps enough to lay the groundwork for impeachment. It’s not about learning new facts.

That piece is by Jon Summers - Harry Reid’s Communications Director. Fox puts something of his up on the web site every week or so, but it doesn’t matter. The vast majority of Trumpistas only take information from Hannity (and worse), and sure as hell don’t read anything.
Yeah, no kidding. Mueller’s words today were pretty much the best example of “just the facts” absent speculation I’ve ever heard. Frustratingly so.
