Is it possible that Pelosi (or someone) already knows what’s in the whistleblower report and what the transcript says?

There is no “transcript” - it’s just notes made by the president’s staff.

Also, as pointed out above (I think), Nixon released transcripts that proved to be false. So whatever Trump releases means nothing. It’s the whistleblower complaint that will be meaningful.

Yup, from when the call was first discussed in the WSJ, it’s clear that the Trump team was building up to the release of the “transcript”-- which is sure to be anticlimactic and was meant to put the issue to bed.

The committee Dems gave up a tiny bit of leverage for getting the complete whistleblower complaint, but after the Senate vote they don’t need that anymore.
