As Samantha Power pointed out, it’s kind of outrageous that Trump, a head of state, met one on one with the Russian Foreign Minister at the White House today. Lavrov should have met with Pompeo, the Secretary of State. That’s how these things work. Trump the Fool is always going on and on about how “other countries are laughing at us” but he’s not helping matters…

Listening to the Barr and Horowitiz go at it, I was struck once again, how upside down Trumpland world is.
I’ve listened to a lot of Inspector General issue reports and then heard complaints from the department head or cabinet secretary, why the report was unfair.
But what I’ve near heard in my life is an IG report which basically cleared the department of wrong doing and then heard the cabinet secretary complain about it. It is just bizarre beyond words.

Barr truly scares me. With Trump there’s still some part of me that sees him as a child, like he’s not in control of his constant lying and need for adulation. With Barr though, it’s just chilling.
Their lodestar is defending Trump; all else orients from that.
