I mean if the verdict goes in after Trump stops working for the day at 2pm, maybe

If Trump’s trolling game was on point he’d create a pardon in the form of a “Get Out Of Jail” card from Monopoly and give it to Roger so he could flash it at a press conference.

40 months.

He ain’t serving 3 years.

He’s not going to serve 3 days. My bet is that Trump’s lawyers already have the pardon papers written up.

Man. It’s a good thing Roger Stone didn’t do anything REALLY evil like use an old password to access another sports team’s database or anything.

(Point of comparison: 5 years ago, the Cardinals Assistant GM and scouting director Chris Correa was sentenced for hacking the Houston Astros database. He believed that the Astros had stolen proprietary tech from the Cardinals, which is why he initially hacked in. But then he kept accessing it, over and over again.

Correa was fired. He cooperated fully with federal investigators. He admitted wrongdoing and was contrite. He had interfered with the sports operations of the Houston Astros and cost them money. Correa pleaded guilty and got a 4-year prison sentence and a fine of $250,000.

Roger Stone was convicted in a jury trial. He showed no remorse or contrition for his actions. He threatened his trial judge. He threatened members of the jury in his trial. He refused to cooperate, and instead did his best to obstruct the investigation into what he was doing. Roger Stone attempted to interfere in the US Presidential election in 2016. For all of that, he got sentenced to 3 years, 4 months in prison, and a fine of $20,000.

Guess it’s good to know people, huh?)

And a likely pardon. I repeat, I sure hope there is something New York can prosecute him for.

Hey, glass half full, at least we get to look at this headline today.

Well, that and the fact that Roger Stone is, I’m guessing, not a prison sort of guy. If he actually does go to jail (which I doubt), every day will be the worst day of his life.

Poor people can easily get more time for stealing something of very minor value.

I mean the solution is for them to server less time vs Stone serving more, but just to put it in perspective.

I don’t think that there’s a lot of 'prison sort of guy’s who enjoy prison.

I’d actually like Stone to serve a whole lot more AND for minor crimes to get less.

I mean if we’re shooting for the moon here.

Shooting for the moon would be more like @ArmandoPenblade’s plan: prison time for all of the people who voted for Trump. At least 4 years means we have a fighting chance of actually fixing things.

I may have already posted this, but it still cracks me up:
