I’m not sure how this is relevant to what I’ve said, or if you think I somehow disagree with these points. I don’t. But if there’s anything I’ve said or asked this isn’t clear, let me know.

I know I’m still hundreds of posts behind at the moment, but I’m responding to this one anyway.
This kind of genie doesn’t go back in the bottle with consequences. Tiberius Gracchus was beaten to death by a mob led by the Pontifex Maximus and his brother tried the same shit 12 years later. Then Marius did it even better. You don’t prevent the next problem by upping the punishment for the last one, you do it by closing the path to abuse. Checks and balances was the whole foundation of this nation and it turns out that the genius of the founding fathers left some shit up to common courtesy and civic duty rather than actual checks and balances.

Pelosi is the new focus for Hillary hate. She’s a woman in a position of power.
If a post gets flagged, it just gets hidden until a moderator can check the flag. Sometimes the flag is just dismissed and the post gets unhidden. But if the moderator agrees with the flag, they get sent a notification that the post was inappropriate and it will stay hidden unless it’s edited.
Absolutely! No one is getting stealth banned or racking up demerits or anything.

Interesting take from the Pope(hat):
Putting them on a table is the only way I feel anything anymore.

I’m talking to anyone who is upset that this woman, who apparently was a vet, is having her background, her views, her actions and her judgment being questioned while literally trying to break into a barricaded room in the federal building being sieged by a group known to be armed and dangerous…
But the concern hasn’t been voiced the hundreds of other times other people were shot not going after anyone defending anyone, not going after folks behind a barricade, but just running away, talking, walking in the street, going home, being woken up… how they heck do we talk about what is deserved, what is not deserved, what the police should’ve done or should not have done, argue about the outcomes but then decide the lines were crossed now and not make it look exactly as the two NBA individuals mentioned in the video above.
Is it just we’re so numb that we can talk about deserving death for those other people but now that it’s this young woman, a business owner and vet, now, now it matters?
This is all over for a reason:
‘They’ve killed us for less!’: Black activists slam the disparity between responses to BLM demonstrators and pro-Trump rioters who breached US Capitol (msn.com)
And while the headlines would suggest the line being crossed here is about laws and police but it’s not… it’s far, far deeper than that. It’s about… now people actually care which is a much deeper scar. Now people think it’s not right to dig dirt, not disparage the dead. Now. What’s different about now. Oh right… that.
No disagreement here. The police response was awful. I’m horrified, terrified, and fucking furious at what the bastards did. I want to see the leaders identified arrested and sentence to 10 years, and every single person who entered the capitol building convicted of felony, and given a long probation, which would include a social media posting ban for years.

This is what I was really trying to say. Should have waited on Popehat to say it better!
Nesrie, fortunately, no one on this forum has celebrated the deaths of BLM protestors, or called for the execution of Democratic politicians in jest.
-Tom
I understand, but I think Tom is specifically concerned about celebrating and projecting death, which were at least not allowed to be made directly. I realize there’s a lot of fine, subjective, lines here, but he has a point, at least that wasn’t allowed there.
You can’t always chose the timing.
But if someone’s excusing her while they were uncaring before, they’re asses. Undoubtedly.

I feel like this is an own-side thing. An imperfect analogy: Americans don’t have to be told not to celebrate the deaths of U.S. soldiers.

There have been many discussions about whether or not someone should’ve been shot, deserved it, and was no more or less celebratory than some of these posts here.

Ken has a way with words I’m jealous of (and the professional acumen to back it up).
Which is why those posts weren’t flagged.

Thanks.
Just don’t go looking through my posts from whatever point in 2017, or was it 2018, when the Mueller obstruction was going on, ok?
That said I agree with where @Nesrie is coming from. Given how police responded to BLM protests, having this woman participating in an armed coup attempt die is not only justified, but in many ways necessary. And while I really don’t think anyone (still) here has ever indicated that the violence at those protests was anything but tragic, But I guess that is the trouble. We haven’t really had much counter examples, no Kyle Rittenhouse apologists, so Nesrie is seeing what appears to be a greater empathy/ moderation push in response to the death of a right wing terrorist, probably because nobody here needed the reminder for the victims in Kenosha.
While many, myself included, see what happened to that woman yesterday and think ‘she got what she earned’. I guess that is the difference.
To be clear I don’t think your intent is to judge things any differently.

How does one get a question to “Q”? I’d like someone to point blank ask them how they feel about driving some of their people to be killed. Q is also equally at fault for this women’s idiocy. She had that stupid Q acronym in many of her posts (and clothing too I believe).
