I’m encouraged now by Murkowski at least coming out for him to resign. Of course it’s always dangerous to be encouraged by Murkowski’s public troubled act. Can Susan Collins be far behind?

Seeing what happened to the photojournalist who was getting roughly handled and chucked over a small wall outside, I have no doubts there would’ve been violence if they managed to get hold of a Democratic Congress member.

It also makes sense to consult with Republicans Senators to see what sort of language they feel they can support. Even the language does not change, letting someone know they were consulted increases the odds of buy in.
If the ‘right’ person had found Pence, Pelosi, Schumer et al, there would have been murder.
I suppose age-related slowdown might be the charitable explanation of why he made it so easy for law enforcement.

Since there is zero chance the Senate will vote to convict (in fact, there is zero chance they will even take it up in the next 12 days), Pelosi and the House can introduce the articles whenever they think is best. I think best would have been yesterday, but as some of you may have noticed, I am not a member of the House of Representatives, and for whatever reason, they did not consult me.

If someone really wants to do that, then likely they don’t go around projecting it, they just do it. I think the showing of the twist ties, much like the whole outfit, is at least part theater designed to elicit response.
I think the ones to really worry about aren’t broadcasting, aren’t projecting, aren’t typing on twitter.
That’s not saying this is nothing either. This strikes me as a scenario where someone wants to put themself into a position where they’ll be forced to do something they otherwise lack the conviction to do.
I dunno, maybe i’m thinking too logically about it all…
