As if anything prominent left-wing communist rag…checks notes…Cato Institute says means anything.
More, he was a blight long before he ran for president, don’t forget how he pushed Birtherism
The zip ties are a clear indication that he intended to take hostages. And the very concept of taking a hostage necessarily involves killing or injuring the hostage. When you characterize it as “maybe he thought was going to need to stash someone who got in his way”, I don’t think you’re fully appreciating the mindset of these people and the rhetoric that incites them.

Think about all the Republican politicians breathing a sigh of relief that they no longer have to answer media questions about what Trump just tweeted.

Parlor is going fucking nuts.
Tom Cotton thanks you for the analysis and will integrate this new data into his future nefarious plans.
(and yes, I get the actual reference)
Why aren’t national children included in that poll?

Maybe not, but it IS prima facie evidence of intent to kidnap, which is a very serious felony in most US jurisdictions. Here is the relevant federal statute 18 U.S. Code § 1201:
(a)Whoever unlawfully seizes, confines, inveigles, decoys, kidnaps, abducts, or carries away and holds for ransom or reward or otherwise any person, except in the case of a minor by the parent thereof, when—
(2)
any such act against the person is done within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States;
shall be punished by imprisonment for any term of years or for life and, if the death of any person results, shall be punished by death or life imprisonment.
So, confining people in the Capitol satisfies the elements of kidnapping and zip-tying someone is confining them.
You’ll note this is a major serious felony punishable by up to life in prison.
So, I’ve been polite thus far, but I have to say, @Kolbex what the fuck are you doing here? You sound like you have some clue about the law so you have to know confining/kidnapping is serious shit. What the hell man? It’s not an a 100% certainty of intent to execute but it’s not patty-cake for Christ’s sake.

Here’s a response on thedonald dot win that only a millennial could make. Because Presidents had no way to talk to the American people prior to Twitter.

With DJT’s twitter ban, the chances of conviction in the senate go up substantially. The meek GOP senators won’t have to fear DJT’s mean tweets.

Why did 3% of Democrats say they support it?! Does that mean 3% of Democrats were blitzed out of their minds when this poll was taken?

What? There’s a row for republicans.

Pointing a gun at someone and screaming you’ll kill them isn’t 100% certainty of intent, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you really love going to prison.
I think Kolbex just needs to understand the mindset of these people.
Read a synopsis of the Turner Diaries, maybe a few highlights of the prose to see how horrifically vile it is. Then realize there are a lot of people who want it to be real and plan to make it happen.

Easier, just look at Michigan. They tried to do it and were only stopped by active law enforcement.
