From the sounds of it thousands of Twitter accounts are being banned now.

My guess: this was planned for after the 20th, but Trump’s actions sped it up some. They had this planned- they were just afraid of the political consequences.

Extremist-only social media gets boring- this is why gab’s attempt at their own social media (I think they were using an offshoot of Pleroma) failed spectacularly.

Discord’s been pretty good about banning bad server they know about. I give them more benefit of the doubt than I do Twitter or Facebook. I’m certain they’ll become the baddies eventually, but right now they’re not.
