It was all worth it for the tiny white power fist photo-op.

Even worse than sparking an insurrection, Hawley broke the first rule of GOP club:
Mr. Hawley’s willingness to defy Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) became apparent not long after he was sworn in, when he indicated he might oppose a Trump judicial nominee, Neomi Rao. Mr. McConnell summoned him to his office to explain the sanctity of judicial appointments to Senate Republicans.

Twitter is now WARNING the general public that unrest is growing and an armed attack on the Capitol is coming Jan 17.
Thank god we spends billions on domestic intelligence.
A cop was killed on Wednesday. You and I both know that Insurrection 2: Electric Boogaloo is not going to be the MAGA-hat Woodstock that January 6th was.
Hope it was worth it. Was it ‘wild’, as DJT promised?

They might learn the hard way how effective AR-15s are against Bradleys.
Spoiler: Not very.

WTF is this:
“I take full responsibility for my actions, and deeply regret any hurt, pain or embarrassment I may have caused my family, friends, constituents and fellow West Virginians,” Evans stated.
Hurt. Pain. Embarrassment. Feelings? People are dead.
This asshole and all the others need to have these facts in their face for the rest of their natural lives until they own up to what they did AND pay the cost of their crimes.

I feel stupid, but where are they posting this?
The distressing thing about that W VA Lawmaker’s resignation is the detail on the charges he faces. They’re all misdemeanors. Federal crimes, yes, but all misdemeanors.
You can sack the US Capitol and face charges no more serious than shoplifting?

I thought maybe he was looking out the window and some random ass blue bird said warning, there is unrest… as if we don’t know that.

I wait, I just assumed @Guap meant an official from twitter was posting that.
Honestly, it was a secondary comment on Twitter’s news release about permabanning DJT. I haven’t seen anything else beyond that.

Twitter the company or Twitter the tweeters?

I don’t expect most people involved to be charged at all, and I don’t expect that those that are charged will be charged with all the things that they should be, but it’s also very common to have charges added. It’s very common to just start with the very obvious things and then as they get the evidence together and have more time then they add more stuff.
Federal charges tend to evolve over months or years between when they start and and things actually go to court. Although about 99% of the time people will plea.
Like they can probably charge some light charges just off pictures and then they subpoena all your texts and location info and whatever and then build the intent evidence needed for other charges.

Oh. Ooh. No. No. No. Heh. They’re not going to just face Federal charges. There will be states involved, state charges, and for the assholes that came from states that have any integrity at all, they will not be minor no matter how quick the federal level might fold or pardon.
Hopefully, your reeducation camp experience will focus mostly on your poor taste in music :-).
Again: in 11 days or so, there’s likely to be some directive from the DOJ to get a little more aggressive with charges where the evidence supports them.
