Because Fortress White House is very different from Fortress Capitol Building.

It’s bad, but it’s not like that laptop would have had classified material on it.

Honestly this took a lot longer than I’d have thought, someone asking the NY Bar Association to look into him. In Better Caul Saul getting someone disbarred was way easier! :)

Why wouldn’t it? The Speaker of the House is second in line of succession to the President.

Yeah, in the real world lawyers never get disbarred for anything is what I’ve come to realize.

Other lawyers give them shit and make fun of them and they go on to do the same crap for decades.
Lin Wood was so well known in the legal community as being a grifter and full of shit that I saw zero support from him from anyone across all party lines or ideologies. He is out there right this second fomenting insurrection and still can practice law after lying to the court multiple time in the last 2 months.

You’d think “the company” might want to do something about that.

Has Dominion announced a lawsuit against Wood yet? That alone would ruin him.

Like @Alan_Dunkin it’s not obvious to me why that would be true, am I missing something?

You don’t say.

Well, now we know why the US Attorney in Georgia stepped down suddenly last week:

So, that’s Murkowski, Sasse, Toomey, probably Romney. Who else? Anyone keeping track?

Nate Silver was crowd-sourcing a list yesterday. I think as he put it, you need 18.

The first 6 are there.
The next 6 are iffy.
Then it’s…hmm.

Republicans are kind of missing a good bet here. Trump is gone anyway, so they have a chance to get the street cred of being the party of integrity, the only party ever to vote to convict a President from their own party. Especially if they don’t even have to do it until after he’s out of office!

I think that’s kind of the answer that folks like Sasse (positioning himself in the center lane) and Cotton (positioning himself in the obstreperous right lane) have arrived at.

Even publications like that don’t seem to have copy editors any longer. It’s a freaking shame. God forbid they pay a person to read the damn thing before publishing it. Just run it through a spell check and call it good is the order of the day.

This is it. It’s perfection.
