Two things I’ve noted that might constitute some very faint rays of daylight on the big picture here:
1)This week the response from Dems / Liberals / The Left has been MUCH more full throated and bold, calling lies lies, pushing back on obvious false and vile propaganda like that New Canaan parent letter (above), etc.
2)And, much less faint-hearted concern trolling about “civility” from the mainstream media.
I feel like the hard reality of a attempted but failed coup and the attendant multiple deaths has maybe to at least some degree broken through the integument of double-standard media assumptions to more truly depict what the right wing media machine has been doing for years.
Specifically, I’m seeing some real push back, at least rhetorically, on the lies, deceptions and/or manipulations of the right wing, and that’s a good step.

It’s the same situation with my family and some people that have been in my social circle for over twenty years. I never figured out an answer, I just ended up largely cutting off communication for the sake of my own mental health. It’s brainwashing as far as I can tell and I don’t even know where to begin to tell start to deprogram them.
The scary thing is right-wing media is just getting more and more crazy. Look how far is escalated in the past decade or two. Or just the last four years of the Trump presidency for that matter.

We need a lot more of this, and we need to wave the bloody shirt. Literally ,we need to dehumanize these folks and use the playbook that has been used against us for the last 150 years. It’s going to take a united front from never-Trumpers to leftists. I consider these folks a bigger threat than COVID.
Folks probably aren’t comfortable hearing this- but these folks have declared themselves at war with America. We need to treat them as such. We’ve tolerated and coddled these folks for way too long.
Every one of those folks in the video above should be charged with sedition at a minimum.
I think you can achieve this kind of detente, but only when both parties practice it. That’s basically my approach with my father: he doesn’t say this sort of nonsense to me, so I don’t argue with him about it. On the other hand, if he decides for some reason to bring it up, he’s getting an argument. So he doesn’t.
