A joint statement Cruz issued about the senators’ challenge to the vote nicely captured the post-truth aspect of the whole: It never alleged that there was fraud, only that there were allegations of fraud. I don’t think that’s the cop that died. I’m guessing that one survived his beating, but it still looks good enough for attempted murder charges.

I know there’s a story here of 2 Seattle cops who have gotten in trouble for attending the DC riot and I’m sure I’ve come across at least one more report of a similar instance elsewhere but I wonder how these cops and others who may have also taken part feel after seeing this.
