Doing an impeachment trial after the fact is a waste of time. THe only possible benefit would be if enough Republicans agreed on it, and that caused Trump to start his own party and fund his own candidates splitting the Republicans for good. This is a very unlikely scenario.
The Romney wing of the Republicans cannot win a presidential primary anymore. Only the fascists can- the Republican party is a fascist party to its core now.

I voted for Bernie- largely because I felt Hillary would lose to any Republican. I’ve never voted in a Republican primary- I started considering myself a Democrat back in 2004. My primary votes were Edwards/DNV (Obama was incumbent)/Bernie/Bernie.
I also believe that Hillary would have lost by a bigger margin to any of Trump’s main rivals - definitely losing the popular vote. Kasich would have been a landslide.

I’m gonna stop you there. Regardless of whether or not you think the Democrats could beat Trump again in 4 years, he must never be allowed the chance. How you can live through the last 12 months, particularly the last 10 weeks, and especially the last 5 days and not agree with that is beyond me.
I have zero faith in the electorate to not give him 70 million + votes even now, but that is completely besides the point. He has millions of brainwashed cultists at his disposal right now. This needs to end. Destroying Trump and his conspiracy fueled fascist movement needs to be the number one priority.
