I mean i 100% agree with you, i’m just doing what I usually do is skip ahead about 10 steps. I’m fully on board with pushing the GOP weakness here deliberately, make them own what has happened, make them deliberately be forced to confront it and or own/disown it, and then make as many systemic changes as possible.

But we’re not going to get real fundamental change without one of two things; war or separation. Like the health care system in the country, there are too many moving pieces, too many caviats, too many competing interests. The hard work doesn’t work if they don’t want it. We’re reaching a demographic point here where we’re going to see decades of political stagnation. Functionally right now the only reason we still have a Federal government at all is through bureaucratic momentum.

I’m all on board with the long game… but it’s longer than your or mine lifetimes. And it’s been going on for 250 years. At some point, you know, maybe after a quarter millennium, maybe it’s time to give another option a try.

And i don’t care which states, the GOP just needs an outlet where they can be contained. Once they have that, we can literally do anything, reform media laws, ban FOX/Murdoch, give massive aid to black and minority communities in actual, legitimate and long term investment strategies, ect. The gun lovers can move to New Zion (whichever collection of states that is) and spend their days reloading and listening to Rush and dying of minor infections and build a statue of Jesus with a gold coin in one hand and an AR-15 in the other and we can all be happy.

Mitch has already said he is going to delay impeachment. So might as well wait a little longer to get the Democratic majority in place to both change who sets the rules for the process and get more votes seated to try and actually be successful.

Why does voting for impeachment in the House next week rush the process? I mean, Trump told the crowd to march on the capitol and fight. That’s insurrection. That along with his phone call to the GA Secretary of State are easy grounds to impeach. There’s no need for waiting. Do it now.

Congress needs to be put on record as either supporting Trump or supporting democracy. There is no middle ground here. I see little value in waiting.

This is already happening. They are pulling servers, dropping contributions. We don’t have to help them strangle themselves, they are already doing it. We just needed to focus on making sure anyone involved in this disaster does not sneak away or most importantly, do not let them rewrite history, the story or dominate the narrative.
