Yes, here’s another reason why delaying on impeachment would have been bad. If anything like this occurs McConnell will be under extreme pressure to recall the Senate. He should not be given an out by delaying pushing the impeachment on to the Senate.
If a president resigns the resignation letter goes to the Secretary of State. The Secretary of State holds the official Seal of the United States, and they put the seal on the letter.
But, yeah, it’s probably a mistake.
Nobody is reporting on it…yet? Maybe they’re trying to verify.

I also have to think it would have leaked to the press before the webmaster for state.gov updated the website

I worked for the State Dpt before joining the games industry. Pompeo is at the same level, for me, as Ted Cruz. I am so glad I am running my own game company and doing my thing away from the state of helplessness I was feeling at State. So many qualified people resigned or were fired and the lesser qualified (if not least qualified) occupies senior positions. Pompeo believes that Trump was sent by god btw.
