This has been the sort of thing that’s been keeping me up at night. It’s become quite clear how corrupt and authoritarian police are. How far removed are the SS (heh) from that? Surely they have much higher standards but how do you avoid radicals in the group? Seems like all it would take is a handful believing they’re patriots saving Democracy for something very bad to happen.

That WaPo article is not only infuriating, it’s made me even more adamant that DJT needs to see prison for the remainder of his wretched life. And I’ve thought that for years. God knows what other travesties will come out in coming days.
One wonders exactly how deep the rot is. And how many secret service people there are like her who aren’t moronic enough to post on social media.
Might want to push security to trusted people until the Secret Service can be fully vetted.

The Trump administration/term has been both worse and better than I expected it would be when Trump was first elected. His fuck-ups weren’t as bad as I expected (his wall is barely built, and I really thought he would start a war with China or Iran) but it seems Trumpism is going to linger around a lot longer than I thought. I thought things would go more or less back to ~normal~ after his first term, but it doesn’t look like that is going to happen. Instead we have the insurrection last week and who knows what ahead of us. Plus we have the Trump kids now who are most likely going to play a large role in the country’s future.
