Really? I think there is almost no chance of that.

Very possible MAGA World will pick a softer target than DC now. I hope Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia are prepared.

FWIW, all the places where I saw chatter about the DC gathering for 1/6 don’t have anyone talking about storming state capitols. But maybe they’ve moved to more private channels.

We’ve had “Patriot rallies” at our capitol this week, here’s hoping.

Really? I’ll just point you to the recent incident where a Republican rep from Oregon intentionally let in a few dozen armed chucklefucks in Salem. And that was a small thing. A larger demonstration could absolutely hit a state capitol.

Life comes at you fast. Emphasis mine.

After the riot, Cudd posted about it on her Facebook page, bragging that “we” tore down the doors to Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office.

She later backed that statement up, saying that she was referring to the group as a whole. She claimed she didn’t vandalize anything in the building.

“Do I think that it was wrong for us to go to the Capitol? Absolutely not. Do I think that it was wrong for me to go through an open door and get inside of the Capitol? No I don’t. I didn’t break any laws, I didn’t do anything unlawful, and I think that’s probably why the FBI and the law enforcement have not contacted me,” said Cudd in an interview with CBS7.

Yeah, I wouldn’t classify it in the category of “almost no chance”.

It’s a very high chance given that the FBI is warning that they’re planning it in all 50 states.

The FBI said it wasn’t focused on peaceful protests but “on those threatening their safety and the safety of other citizens with violence and destruction of property.”

The talk of armed marches next week isn’t limited to “radicalized” Trump supporters. State capital events on Jan. 17 appear to be promoted by supporters of the anti-government, pro-gun “boogaloo” movement. Boogaloo followers advocate for a second civil war or the collapse of society, and they don’t adhere to a coherent political philosophy.

“I was referencing the kind of trial that took place for Tyrion in that very famous documentary about fictitious medieval England,” Giuliani told Samuels. “When Tyrion, who is a very small man, is accused of murder. He didn’t commit murder, he can’t defend himself, and he hires a champion to defend him.”

They are trying to kill us with their stupidity.

A “lawyer”: Look all the laws are wrong and we should go back to Judicial Duels.

I’ll admit this part scares the crap outta me:

“early reconnaissance of anticipated routes by drones”

IED drones…WTF America.

I’m ok with keeping them swinging in the breeze, not knowing their fate

I don’t have any doubt that there will be demonstrations at state capitols. Do I think there is a 50% chance of a state capitol being ‘overrun’ now that everyone has been warned? No, I do not.

With that much police presence, is going to be like fish in a fishpool. If theres violence it will be very limited, specially considering the trumpism are so symbol dependant, … they can’t get anywhere near any symbol where they can be a issue.

Goalpost shift.

You said almost no chance. Now I am not saying likely (but if they do convene on all 50 states as promised, then I’d say the likelyhood is too damn high), but very sadly plausible.

Honestly if I had to pick, Oregon and Washington would be my first guess. For a whole host of reasons, particularly because the brand of Republican tends to heavily shift to the far right/ sovereign citizen type. That, plus past activity, make me think the odds of shots fired in Salem in the next week are exceedingly high.

What percentage would I assign to that? No clue. The range of plausible outcomes here is such a wide delta, that I have no clue. It could be a dozen rednecks spouting their shit, to a few hundred armed to the teeth and going for blood. Republicans here really hate Brown. They may hate her more than I hate Trump. And I mean that literally.

He means “I am not muslim,” so I can’t be a terrorist.

I was responding to a claim that the chance was better than even. You should read me as saying ‘no I don’t believe it is anything like 50%’, if that helps.
