It’s a good question. I just assumed they got hungry.
It seemed like after they were inside and had trouble finding congress critters to kill, they sort of milled around like it was the aftermath of a frat party. The bloodlust buff wore off and they were just dumb joe the plumbers again. Then they got herded out.

They were stupid to tie themselves to a cloud provider that does not allow the sort of content they wished to host.

Also, after one their own got shot and several more of their own succumbed to health crises/heart attacks, some dim gleam of reality may have set in.
In the big picture my guesstimate is that although there were plenty of people with individual and small group plans for violence, there was little in the way of an overarching plan or organization so although this assault was more than a mere “spontaneous riot” IMO, it was a pretty disorganized example of a planned uprising. A half-assed uprising as it were.
Demographic analysis of the 139 House Republicans who voted to overturn the electors
The Republican Party’s most Pro-Trump members have been elected by higher income white homeowners in the fast-growing exurban fringe. They feel the social status traditionally associated with their identity as white Christians is being degraded and that left wing political movements pose a threat to their livelihoods and political power. In reaction, they have lashed themselves to a movement within the Republican Party led by President Trump that seeks to defend the privileges of property-owning white Americans in our political system, economy, and public life.
Thanks! Finding humor with the non stop Antifa crap has for me proven to be an effective outlet I’m finding. :)
Thanks for linking to cool data to support my unsourced assertion!
Hope you’re not thinking I was being a smart ass or something, I just wanted to reinforce your point. :)
Unrelated, on /r politics a response (below) to this article. It’s kinda shocking seeing one of them ‘in the wild’ so to speak (i.e. seeing something like this in real time instead of a re-tweet.]

I find interesting that this one say “ignorant”. It represent a climb of the rethoric. If you are not up to date to the rewrite of history they are doing, you are a ignorant.
It’s good to see someone like Lankford feel compelled to apologize for his role in all of this, and it’s good that he at least feels enough shame / uncertainty that he’s willing to do it. On the other hand, it is impossible to believe that he didn’t grasp that the essence of the challenge was that black votes from cities like Atlanta and Philadelphia and Detroit should not be counted.
“What I did not realize was all of the national conversation about states like Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, was seen as casting doubt on the validity of votes coming out of predominantly Black communities like Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Detroit,” he wrote.
This is a good brief interview. Worth listening to 2 minutes.
Fucking Sky News, amirite.

The end in particular.
The guy is really calm describing a harrowing experience he just had. Damn.
That’s cute but it’s sadder and even more tragic that that seditious motherfucker and many like him are going to be immortized and held up as martyrs to the cultists. Oh and he won his laughable dietary fight against the ‘cabal’.

I do love that the people who most complain about using certain names to generalize a bunch of racists who want to overthrow democracy are also the same people who declare 50+% of the US to be communists.
CNN source, no shitty cropping. I guess that texan conservative didn’t want to show it was CNN

I know I’m late on this but Mentally ill people get mistreated/not treated enough. They don’t deserve to be lumped in with this crowd. Now, i’m sure some of these folks were a bit off center, I’ve see enough interviews to confirm this. That does not mean they can’t comprehend wright from wrong.
That being said I don’t hate these people for their ignorance. I was taught a long time ago not to make fun of stupid. I hate the smart ones who are brainwashing and influencing the masses. We will always have X number of ignorant people in the US. You can’t beat or hate racism/ignorance out of people. You can only educate it and remove the influences pushing i tand it takes generations.

They were driven out by the police once reinforcements in riot gear finally arrived and organized. The big bellingcat video dump has some footage of it.
I came across this article about the idea of migrating Parler, and while I can’t vouch for the source, nor do I have experience with AWS specifically, this generally tracks with what I do know about cloud infrastructure.
Basically, even if you find somebody willing to host, you’re looking at re-building every part of internet infrastructure from scratch (down to the data center level), for a product that might not even still be relevant in 6-12 months as their moment passes. Basically, you’re talking about building a 2020 scale web application with 2000 era capabilities.
It’s possible there are vendors for some of all of the services in e.g. Russia or China (AFAIK, China’s Great Firewall stuff means that it’s difficult for regular cloud providers to function there, so they have a lot of their own parallel infra built), but even if there was feature parity and you could find providers for everything you need, it would still be a major undertaking.
tl;dr: AWS provides an incredible amount of value, de-platforming works

Have they not found the person who killed the cop? It seems like practically everything that happened was recorded.
