Since it’s required to believe the election was stolen to be a Republican, of course they’d blame the people who they think did the stealing.
Don’t Democrats understand that they had no choice?!

We really need these polls to be rephrased:
Which of the following do you agree with more:
A) I think Trump was at least partly responsible for the Jan 6 riots and looting.
B) I am a fucking moron who thinks the Democrats were responsible.

What I want to know is why wasn’t President Obama in the White House doing something about the riot! This was Obama’s Katrina!
This joke is only slightly off the mark from reality as they are trying to frame it as Nancy Pelosi’s fault.
We are well past the “anything reasonable being done to deter future things like this” phase and getting into the “score political points and do excessive grandstanding” phase. So we have crap like people trying to frame this as Pelosi’s fault and on the other side we have calls for congressional hearings. From my view any constructive discussion on the 1.6 insurrection ended with the impeachment trial and reasonable people can now tune out on this topic until the next elections.

I really miss the old days when the guaranteed-crazy percentage was around 27%.

I’m frequently guilty of drive-by postings with no context, I just noticed around 15 years ago that anything, climate change, vaccines, UFOs, whatever, no matter how dumb or awful the underlying sentiment there was always a number around 27% that would take the dumbest/evilest position. 46% somehow blaming Biden for 1/6 blows that away.

It is 46% of Republicans not the whole population.

Pretty much. The GOP is what 25% of the population at this point? A quarter of a quarter isn’t a lot of people overall. Mind you it’s still a terrifying number of crazy people, but as like a segment of the populace it’s well below the 27% crazification level.
All I need to keep myself up at night is remembering that over 70m Americans pulled the lever for another Trump term and without a world-historical pandemic he apparently would have been the favorite to win.
Yes, despite all the shit he did he might have won again. And it’s unlikely that we’d get both senators from GA in a Trump win.
That’s why it’s damned important we get DC statehood at the very least.
It almost seems contrarian to say, but I always believed DJT was going to lose, pandemic or no. He was the most unpopular president in my lifetime, maybe the most unpopular in history. And the economy, such as it was, was slowing long before the pandemic, in part because of DJT’s incompetence. All that was required was turnout, and that was almost certainly going to happen, since DJT simply cannot refrain from being an asshole every second of every day.

Future GOP historians shall declare that Trump was 70% good.
Wonkette’s writeup on the lawsuit filed:
Remember last weekend, when Mitch McConnell voted to acquit Donald Trump and then gave a long speech about how we should convict Donald Trump? (Have we said “fuck Mitch McConnell” yet today? Fuck Mitch McConnell.) One of McConnell’s “points” was, “We have a criminal justice system in this country. We have civil litigation. And former presidents are not immune from being accountable by either one.”

Saw that. UCLA Republicans with more intelligence /integrity than the Republicans in the US Senate.
