White, male, “Christians” suffering consequences? Where do you think we are, Communist China?

This. If you’re going to have a revolution, where at the end you are the heroes of everyone, why wouldn’t you document it? That’s the whole reason you went in the first place: to be a hero. You’re going to document your heroism.
And you’re not going to carry a typical camera, because that would make you look like press and get your ass beat. Plus who has those things anymore? You have a phone.
The revolution will be televised.
The revolution will be instagrammed by narcissistic morons.

Also known as tilting at windmills. Except that I liked Don Quixote.

The real deal is Don Quixote part 2. It’s kind of the first meta novel, though not being a Don Quixote scholar, i can’t quite tell if it’s intentional or not (I always assumed the author’s out of narrative introduction wagging his finger at alleged forged copies ect was literary invention and not based on anything in real life).
Sarcasm is apparently not the strong suit of at least one of us ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Whenever I think of some of these people, I am reminded of the old George Carlin line, “When you think about how dumb the average person is, keep in mind half of them are dumber than that.”
When we talk about the 30 or 45 percent of americans who are always going to support Trump and co and the next Republican fascist that shows up but “hates dem brown folk just like us”, who did you think we were talking about?
Not geniuses, that’s for damn sure.

It’s not really 30 to 45% of Americans. It’s closer to something around 25-26% of the voting public, and even with his election victory, he did not get the popular vote. I don’t want to downplay how big that group is, but I don’t think we should exaggerate either. You just can’t forget that around 40% of the population just doesn’t vote, and Trump supporters were heavily motivated so many of them did. I would suspect not as many who just sat out were actual supporters.
I’m curious did she hire a real lawyer to defend her, or she is defending herself. IANAl, but the brief seems like a couple of steps up from the stuff she normally files. No typos in the first sentence.
Edit: I see from the linked document, she hired a couple of lawyers. It is going to be interesting to see how the courts rule. Real lawyers invited to weigh in.
None of the people who believed her were reasonable, so she has that at least.

I think the motivation was equal in 2020- and we saw what a max turnout election is like. The problem is we’re less fanatical than those assholes are. They won’t be able to generate that same size of bubble in 2024 because their population is shrinking, and younger Americans are rejecting that philosophy more than most (and deplatforming will help increase this number)
This is why I support mandatory voting. It’s the only thing that will likely save us, though it is a risk. Or at least tie voting to a stimulus. (and yes ,let the Republicans howl, it’s increasingly falling on deaf ears outside of their bubble)

Almost every lawyer I follow say she is openly asking to be disbarred by doing this.

Weighing the options, disbarred seems better than owing Dominion everything you make until the heat death of the universe.
I suspect that was the calculus involved, and I bet she thinks (probably rightly) her notoriety will still earn bucks in conservative/talking head circles when it’s all over.
Yep - the only ONLY thing that will ever dry up the money hose is to admit you’re wrong. As long as you don’t do that, you could keep up the grift from exile, prison, the grave, etc.
