Would be expensive to actually use since I assume it would leave scorched and barren track in its wake.

Instead of an American flag on the top it’s a burning Atlanta.

As one does.

Even George Orwell would be surprised at the outrageous lies. Or maybe not.

Low level misdemeanor.

Just your typical locker room assassination talk.

Another turd.

Scouts honor, never even considered it.

Would fit in r/oddlyspecific.

I love how Trumps response to every accusation is to make himself look as guilty as he possibly can.

I don’t know why the White House doesn’t just turn over everything they think the House committee will want right now. I mean, I do know why they probably won’t, but it’s stupid not to do that IMO.

We know why already.

Apparently there is a process and certain timelines they have to allow, even if they do REALLY want to turn them over. It sucks but it is what it is.

Ruling is so much easier than governing, innit?

Yes, I know, but the process is a function of the federal government (the National Archives, I think) and the sitting President makes the final determination no matter what the process says. So I’m pretty sure a President could say fuck it, I’m going to release the documents anyway, so release them.

I also know that he won’t.

Which is a shame, it would be more of a defining moment for Biden if he did that instead of, “well yeah we plan to release them after a time in which Trump and others can blabber on about secrecy and run it past their lawyers for the millionth time and whatnot.”

A good overview of where we are from one of emptywheel’s threads :

I guess judges are getting fed up with the lowball sentencing recommendations from prosecutors?

45 days doesn’t sound like much, but the sentencing recommendation from DoJ was 3 months home arrest plus probation.
