If they do this, then they need to be held in criminal contempt and go to jail. Actual prison.

If the Dems do not do this, then they are unfit to govern.

Isn’t the tactic to avoid being served the subpoena?

So they’re planning to stay inside their houses like hermits for the foreseeable future or walk around with a circle of bodyguards around them to stop anyone from walking up to them with a cleverly hidden envelope? Does tossing the envelope count, as long as it touches the person being served? I only know what I’ve seen on TV/in the movies.

If I’m the process server for these guys I get dressed up in the most MAGA outfit I can stand, show up where they work/live and tell the receptionist or doorman that I’m with the Trump campaign and I’m here to deliver a travel itinerary and advance check for the 2024 campaign, but I was told only to give it to -insert guy being served-.

It’s contempt of Congress, they get held in a Congressional holding cell I believe, if real police/judges let them do it.

That’s only for when Congress isn’t backed up by the Justice Department- as during the Trump administration. Now that the Justice Department is in the hands of people who believe in the rule of law, they can prosecute people who ignore Congressional subpoenas for criminal contempt of Congress– a federal crime, albeit a misdemeanor --you can still be fined and sent to federal prison.

You can be held in federal prison FOREVER, until you submit to the subpoena.

I’ll be in my bunk.

Lock him up?

This is basically where I live. Also that’s not how we pronounce the name of the capitol, dude from what sounds like Jersey.
Pretty sure all of this is illegal as well because of highway safety laws.

You gotta love someone as intellectually and morally bankrupt as Mandel, who wears his Christianity on one sleeve and his skein of partisan lies on the other.

He needs another sleeve for his unctuousness.

I wonder what someone in 2010 would say if you showed them this news clipping from the fuuuuutuuuure.

Washington (CNN)The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday released a sweeping report about how former President Donald Trump and a top lawyer in the Justice Department attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Trump directly asked the Justice Department nine times to undermine the election result, and his chief of staff Mark Meadows broke administration policy by pressuring a Justice Department lawyer to investigate claims of election fraud, according to the report, which is based on witness interviews of top former Justice Department officials.

I honestly think if there’s any chance of DoJ indictments coming down on these people, it’ll be after the committee finishes its report (in 2023+). Because Biden doesn’t want it to appear as if he’s directed the DoJ to aggressively pursue charges against his political opponents.

Biden needs to stay the fuck out of it and let the doj do its job, regardless of how it looks. He should not be slow rolling this stuff.

And one for smarmyness. Or a gripping hand of smunctuousness.
