These are people who think there are magic words that will absolve them of any need to obey laws. They’re all idiots.

Often We The People. Like magic!
Indeed, he reaches the rarefied intellectual heights of Brian Fellow from SNL.

Judges can be surprising until you try to fuck with the actual workings of being a judge, and then they are hardcore. I love his chances. Popcorn popping.
Anybody, else dying to hear about his research on the CornaVirus and how the Trump can be reinstated constitutionally as President?
It is real pity, that the fate of the world’s oldest Democracy hangs in balance because of these morons because otherwise, this would be comedy gold.
Also how in the fuck is it possible that these idiots and Trump are endangering our democracy?

My mom, months after getting the vaccine, has turned vaccine sketpical. I can’t caller her an antivaxxer because she’s vaxxed , but she’s been converted by the propaganda.
At this point I won’t be surprised if I am disowned, or vice versa, within a year.

I haven’t spoken to my sister for a year and it’s been fabulous.

So as expected Bannon and Patel didn’t show for their subpoenaed testimony. Hardly news, but it does give me an excuse to post the stock photo of Kash Patel as it always makes me laugh.

There’s just something about the startled look on this face. Like a deer in the headlights.
I don’t disagree with any of that, but it’s worth pointing out that Congress doesn’t have an enforcement arm or the power to pass bills of attainder, so options are pretty constrained.

Yep, nothing will happen. The Justice Department isn’t going to want to be seen as prosecuting political opponents of the current administration.

I disagree. I think the Justice Department will move on this once they get a criminal referral. I mean, it’s no surprise that Trump’s Justice ignored these, but I don’t think The current admin will just ignore what is in fact pretty settled law.
I don’t know what the hurry is though. Having an indictment ready to go the minute these guys don’t show would smack of political prosecution. You have to go through the steps: failure to appear, than referral, then the threat of an indictment is supposed to get the witness to comply.

Yeah, but they will still refuse to comply even if a court says they have to. They’ll drag it out for years (wouldn’t be the first time). In fact, they only have to delay it until Jan 2023 when the Republicans take back Congress and take over the committees and kill the investigation.
We basically do not live in a country based on the rule of law anymore. We now live in a country based on what you can get away with. Well done, Republicans.
I don’t think it works like that with a DoJ that isn’t ignoring it. The DoJ will arrest you and lock you up. You’ll have an arraignment. The judge will decide you’re in contempt and lock you up until you comply.
Wrangling with a court happens when the DoJ is hostile to the subpoenas in question. This DoJ has no reason to be.

Seems like they are going after Bannon. They have to. But not just him. Lock them ALL up.
Yikes, this is going to leave a mark.
I’m with you. I see a fairly speeding indictment, Bannon in particular is a no-brainer. DC went 92%-8% for Biden, so it won’t be hard to find a sympathetic grand jury. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Bannon in jail in under a year, (I wouldn’t be shocked if he is still out on appeal in a year)

Nice reply.
Remember when Hillary refused to accept the result of the 2016 election and threw the country on its ass? Remember when Gore really won 2000 and refused to accept the results and threw the country on its ass.
It kills me that Trump is portrayed (by his disciples) as being tough but yet almost every action shows him being weak. But then bullies are never actually ‘strong’.
