He stared down at DC! The MAGA popped his eyes!
Then he shook! What he saw was a shocking surprise!
The Congress in DC, the tall and the small,
Was voting! Without Trump’s permission at all!
He HADN’T stopped the vote from coming! IT CAME!
Somehow or other, it came just the same!
And the MAGA, with his MAGA-ass sprawled in the Metro,
Sat puzzling and puzzling: “How could it be so?”
“It came without red hats or rants in the inbox!”
“It came without OANN, Breitbart or Fox!”
And he puzzled three hours, till his puzzler was sore.
Then the MAGA thought of something he hadn’t before!
“Maybe democracy,” he thought, “doesn’t come from Parler.”
“Maybe democracy … perhaps … is just a bit hardier!”
And what happened then? Well … in the Media they say,
That the MAGA’s small heart grew three sizes that day!
But in fact, the MAGA remained a bitter, hateful, ignorant asshole until the day he died.
The Media was just engaging in wishful thinking, as usual.

I want to do this for my own execrable representative today. Is it still true that snail mailed correspondence is taken more seriously than email? If so I will write, stamp and mail a letter with my objections. I can try calling as well but I’m sure that will just lead to a recorded message.
There are conflicting tales about what matters more to representatives. Each probably gives their own weights to the forms taken.

Honestly, unless you’re in a very, very close district, it doesn’t matter any more.
They ignore literally everything. Email, calls, written letters, it doesn’t matter, they know they’re not accountable so they ignore it.

Because I’ve tried? All my Congresscritters have ignored me since 2004. Interns handle all that shit and they send out canned responses or you go to voice mail that no one listens to. It’s about as effective as the weather report. At most they get a report of how many people contacted them about an issue as like a bullet point at some point.
They don’t care.
