Unpopular film opinions

Batman (1989) wasn’t that special, ignoring its cultural push

Spiderman 3 is the most enjoyable film in the series.
Spiderman 2 was a bore.

We already have a thread for this. It’s every thread with alexlitel and Rob_Merritt.

I’m guessing that’s an in-joke

They’re both known for some pretty against-the-grain opinions on movies, especially where capes and tights are concerned.

But okay, I’ll play along: Smokin’ Aces was good.

Well I’d certainly like to see them post some explanations here, well-established dissenting thoughts are often the most interesting.

I like that you lead by example.

Ghosts of Mars is a very enjoyable action movie with Jason Statham and Pam Grier.

Vampire’s Kiss (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098577/) is an amazing black comedy.

I concur with all these. Also, Goldfinger is one of the least good Bonds. He’s super retarded in it.

Clockwork Orange is a comedy.

Oh, The Exorcist is one of the funniest movies ever made.

Maximum Overdrive is the best Stephen King movie.
Memento is rather dull.

The Matrix wasn’t very good.

Batman and Robin works quite well as a homage to the 1960s Adam West series.

The other two statements, okay, but this is objectively wrong.

And it keeps getting funnier every single time I see it.

Soderbergh’s Solaris is brilliant, while Tarkovsky’s is dull to the point of being unwatchable.

Man, you must’ve seen that about a hundred and sixty-seven times.

Aliens < Alien 3

Mostly because Ripley was acting so stupid in Aliens (at the end), and because Fincher had the guts to not turn the movie into a dumb action flick (a lesser director would just discover a “forgotten weapon cache” somewhere in the prison and give guns to everyone)

Batman: The Dark Knight was a terrible movie.

Hot Shots is a wonderful, hilarious comedy.

/cracks fingers.

Empire Strikes Back wasn’t nearly as good as you Star Wars fiends think it was.

/shuts and locks doors, chambers a round.

Sex and the city 2 was a fabulous movie
