I really really am not. But there is a specific confluence of events that makes this a very hot button for me.

I am extremely understanding and patient, I don’t get angry at people for things out of their control. I am always looking to mediate and avoid conflict in situations even, it’s what I do.

But if my ability to spend time with my kids was impacted, I’m only home for the weekend, on his birthday for a stupid reason like this? I would be looking for a Trump supporter to start a fight with. If I wasn’t able to get home the first motherfucker that within earshot says something to the effect of ‘its the Dems fault’ or ‘Trump is right’ or anthring similar?

I will be in their grill, and i will give them exactly what I think.

Dunno, Donny…maybe because you are an asshole and a putz. /shrug

Maybe don’t announce you’re going to take the blame for doing something and then do that exact thing.

Just a starting place, Don.

Not to mention they couldn’t get it done when the republicans controlled both houses. Why should they miraculously be able to do so now?

They should read that book, The Art of the Deal.

In CT, Governor Lamont has worked with Webster Bank and the Connecticut Bankers Association to offer interest free loans to Government workers who are listed as “essential” and therefore have to continue coming into work even though they will not be paid and are not eligible for unemployment compensation.

Most of these workers are with the TSA or EPA.

Hahaha I’m an engineer, my wife is a chef, and four paychecks out we’d be selling the house.

My sympathy for every last poor bastard affected by this Republican bullshit is significant.

On the other hand: Fuck them. They get nothing.

Kinda feels like the Senate Boyz are getting a head start on the AOC social media lessons.

Try to imagine Chuck Schumer rapping along to:

Look, this sound like Cardi took the stage
This sound like Cardi with the braids
Jermaine Dupri, baby, money ain’t a thing
This pussy wild, they should throw it in a cage
See my lifestyle, precise gal
I be dripped up and wiped down, uh
I see them hoes lookin’ cold, lookin’ stiff, uh
Thick bitch God’s gift to a dick, woo

Too soon for April Fools

Congrats, I guess. You two appear to be on the same 3-dimensional chess wavelength. ;)

It’s all about constantly demonstrating quiet, competent leadership and showing people to draw their own opinions about how that contrasts with the white house and McConnell.

See, that’s what she meant by “run train”.

Please never use “run train” in association with Mitch McConnell ever again.

While I’m vaguely aware of the modern meaning of “run train”, I admit that my first instinct is old the EverQuest usage.

(People would shout “Train!” when they aggroed too many enemies and were running to the zone exits to change zones in order to break aggro, with a huge train of high level enemies trailing behind them ready to wreck anybody who happened to be chilling out at the entrance.)

That works well here. I can imagine McConnell shouting “train to zone!” as he shuffles toward the safety of his office, trailed by an ever increasing crowd of freshman representatives.

Especially in Kunark zones, like Karnors, where there were two entrances and exits. “Wooo, wooo wooo! Train right!”

Trains were such an everyday occurence in that game that people would make entertaining custom macro messages and bind them to hotkeys to announce their trains. Good times.

I don’t think Trump will win in 2020. But I don’t think these polls by themselves are enough to pressure Trump, McConnell or even the GOP into doing something different WRT the shutdown. McConnell isn’t going to read the results of the poll and tell himself, “Well, gee, now I’d better stop supporting the president!” This is a recurring issue with Dems. E.g. thinking that a simple majority is enough to win political battles.

But I like what Pelosi is doing, so I’ll shut up now.
