UT 2004 - maybe belongs in the tech section

I recently purchased the 2004 DVD edition and noticed it had a linux installer on the disc. But when I try the installer, it tells me to mount the play CD which I don’t have. Is there another installer out there for the DVD version? Or a workaround to get the installer to search for the individual CDs on the DVD disc? If it’s extremely complicated,I’m happy playing in windows, I was just curious to give it a run in linux. Thanks.

Log as root
Copy the Linux installer (linux-installer.sh) to the hard drive and launch install with this copy.

Wait for installer asks “Please mount the PLAY CD.”

In a console type:

quote:
umount -f media/dvd
mount /dev/dvd /media/dvd

This works for me!
