Virgin Queen Forum Game

Negative ghost rider.

Today we fight.

<Greg (Spain)> - Build two Galleys in Cagliari, move Palma and Cag to Barbary Coast
** Spain rolls 12 d6 (+0): 1,6,3,5,6,6,4,4,5,2,2,2
** Spain rolls 8 d6 (+0): 3,6,2,6,5,4,2,3
<Greg (Spain)> - Oh, forgot Dragut
** Spain rolls 1 d6: 6

That’s five hits for Spain and four for Ottomans. Back to @CraigM to decide on his losses and retreat (Unless you have a response card or similar), and then you can pass right to @Panzeh, as I am done.

I will pass to @CF_Kane for completion of his term of our agreement then (yours is at your leisure as well)

Apparently Lepanto is located in Tunisia, not Greece.

I play Galleasses in support of the Ottomans, which gives CraigM 3 more dice.

  • Protestant plays Galleasses as a response.

<Chip (Protestant)> - Galleasses gives 3 more dice to the Ottomans.

** Protestant rolls 3 d6: 4,4,6

That makes it a 5 to 5 tie, which goes to the defender, here the Ottomans (16.2.7).

I’ll leave it to @CraigM and @Cuthbert to figure out the results.

  • Spanish galley eliminated in Barbary Coast.
<Greg (Spain)> - Retreat into port at Cagliari

@CraigM

Not much choice on my end, 5 hits and 5 units present.

Don’t the galleys take two hits?

Indeed. @CraigM, I believe you lose two, as the winner rounds down.

ah ok I did not know that. Well 2 galleys go down then.

And then the odd one goes on a Corsair, the loser thing only applies if you have to take one hit on a two-hit ship

  • England plays Grand Tour for 4 CP.

<Panzeh (England)> - 1 CP to build Drake

<Panzeh (England)> - 2 CP to do piracy on Guinea Coast

<Panzeh (England)> - (against Spain)

** England rolls 3 d6: 4,4,5

<Panzeh (England)> - 1 hit, I choose VP

  • England earns 1 VP from Piracy.

  • England score: 15 VP

<Panzeh (England)> - Naval Move for 1 VP

  • English piracy attempt in Guinea Coast.

<Panzeh (England)> - Done

On to France @Juan_Raigada

France plays Gouvernante de France as an event (to end war with Protestants).
France rolls 1 d6: 6 (this is overkill, I needed a 2+)
Removing war marker
Now the protestant player must choose 8 spaces in France to shift political control/religious influence, but there are only 4 eligible
Rouen and Caen shift to French control

  • Caen is now under French political control.

But I can’t proceed further due to Vassal not allowing me to shift the key control.
So it’s up to the Protestant player to finish this.

@CF_Kane must:
Give France Control of Rouen.
Displace all units and leaders in Rouen to Rotterdam (beware that Huguenot units can’t Winter at all in the Dutch capital per the rules in the GMT website -it is an edge case of the rules we have linked above-, so you’ll need to capture some Spanish fortified spaces here and there)
For Boulogne and Lyon, one must be ceded to France and keep Protestant religious influence (because one protestant religious influence must always remain in France). The other can either keep the religious influence or the political control, not both.

Once all this is done, @Tom_Mc is up.

And with this the animosity between Protestants and France should be over and we can move towards a future of cooperation, coprosperity and mutual understanding.

pinging @CF_Kane

Shit, sorry. Both spaces maintain religious influence.

Done. Over to @Tom_Mc

Paging @Tom_Mc
