Ah, man…

For you, @rrmorton:

Harry Enten 9:41 PM

One of my key races to watch was the county executive contest in New York’s Westchester County, where Republican incumbent Astorino is trying to hold on. In very early returns, he’s down 14 points.

My guy…

Wow.

So what dirty tricks will R’s pull out to keep the HoD in R hands?

Danica Roem’s metal band, as mentioned above. I now am officially in love with this candidate:

I mean, it really might be this simple.

On some level, how could it not be?
He the head of the party. The nation hates him.

BTW, seriously, Tom Freaking Periello. Lost the VAGov primary to Northam, and didn’t go into a sulk or start talking about making a new party.

Instead, he worked his goddamn ass off, canvassing around the state relentlessly for months.

I think it’s obvious that Northam had this thing won on his own. But that statewide delegation? Have to think some of that is due to Periello’s tireless work.

When/if he decides to run again for statewide election, he has my enthusiastic support.

Jennifer Rubin is happy.

Just watched Justin Fairfax’s accpetance speech. Wow.

Future of the party. 38 years old. African American. Came up from poverty. Former federal prosecutor.

Tonight’s returns are making my day. Just saying.

So does this mean I can start paying attention to politics again without crying myself to sleep at night?
