Ah, so you pay more to make it fit properly. Good stuff Facebook.

So much guff about smart glasses. Apparently they want people to pay for the privilege of becoming Street View drivers.

Stopped watching. Bleh.

New Quest is interesting though. How much power are they talking about? Could it run Alyx…?

UploadVR:

“AAA” AssCreed and Splinter Cell titles as Oculus exclusives.

90 Hz…

Kind of…

Ooh, sequel to The Climb.

Man, Christmas comes round and Jonny gets his VR headset or his XBox Series S. In my day you got a shilling and a new piece of coal.

Wait, they’re doing a Jurassic Park game and it’s cel shaded?

Puzzle Bobble VR, lolwut?

“Infinite Office.”

At least she made the joke herself.

Very downbeat review from Ars Technica.

I must admit, when I’ve had jobs where I’ve been able to introduce copy & paste, it has been pretty exciting.

So… confirmed:

From the stream, it didn’t sound like there would be any third party dev model any time soon.

Yep, I wrote that while seeing it live and didn’t understand it well at first. But I still hadn’t time to edit.

I have to say, between the Facebook account bullshit and the various negatives raised in the reviews (it seems the Elite strap at a minimum is basically a necessity, and even the battery strap if you’re doing sustained gaming), I’m leaning more to the G2 at this point. Some of those Oculus exclusives sound like they could be good, and I like the idea of having a truly wireless option, but in practice almost all my VR gaming is going to be seated, at my PC.

How does Link work with the Quest battery? Does it draw enough power to keep it going indefinitely?

With the official cable the Quest can run indefinitely. If you aren’t using a USB-C with USB-PD port you may not get enough energy to keep it powered though.
