It was right in the initial link… You can have Captain Kirk as your ship’s computer!!!

I’m so getting this pack.

EDIT: Or am I? There’s also a Brent Spiner pack! OH NO WHAT DO I BUY?

Sure @robc04 what’s your ID? I’m “krayzkrok” on there. Happy to friend anyone.

Sent you a friend request. After I sent it I changed my ID to robc04, so I’m not sure what I’ll show up as, but it should be obvious it’s me.

I’m Andondn there…friend me up.

Done and done.

My dreams of wireless SteamVR were put on hold last night as I discovered the Ethernet port on my laptop does not work anymore. I guess that’s what happens when you drop your laptop bag while being chased by bees (true story).

Bummer. So far VR Desktop is working well for me and my router isn’t even top of the line or anything. On the bright side, being tethered to the computer for many games isn’t that bad.

I was wondering why I couldn’t get SteamVR to work with Oculus Link, until I realised I had only downloaded the performance test app and kept running that! At least I am thoroughly tested.

You know when you’re a kid and you watch your dad fumble around with technology, thinking “how can it be so hard?” Let me explain… ;)

Do you have USB 3.0? Ethernet dongles are cheap.

Funny :-)

Unfortunately the impact took out a bunch of useful ports on the right side of my laptop: ethernet, USB 3 (x3) and two SD card slots.

Fortunately, I just checked again and discovered my external keyboard is plugged into the only remaining USB 3 port at the back of the laptop, which I can swap to the remaining USB 2 port on the left side. So yes, I could plug an ethernet dongle in there, thanks for the tip! [I just ordered one, should be here in a week]

I really should send the laptop off for repair, but I can’t be without my only working computer for the 3-4 weeks it will take. Time to rebuild my desktop PC.

I have a Quest key for Blaston. Who wants it?

Would love to try it if still available. Thanks.

I think I got my “VR Legs” last night. Played No Man’s Sky for about 2 hours, no bad feelings.

Even did smooth motion and turning. Guess I’ll give another shot at Phasmaphobia, which nearly killed me.

True final test for VR legs is Overload.

Wakes up this morning
Glances at phone

“robc04 has beaten your Beat Saber score”
“robc04 has beaten your Beat Saber score”

Nooooooooooo… (fades into distance)

Welp the Quest 2 arrived today, might not be able to set it up until tomorrow though. Really hoping the USB-C port on my video card works okay. :)

I couldn’t beat you on that first song on hard though. You seem to have a perfect run and I always make one or two mistakes. I think we will be good competition for each other :-)

You’re in for a lot of fun Brian, enjoy!

You know, if someone else is thinking on buying a Quest 2, talk with me, if I send you an invite we both earn 30€ in credit story.

Yes, I think so too! I have another friend who plays it, but she’s been playing it since October and is way better than I am!

If it wasn’t perfect, it was close, but I’m still way below my other friend’s high score. I need to work on my technique. High score challenges are the best part of this game, I think. Challenge mode has too many of those technical challenges (“Make at least 15 mistakes while also getting this really high score!”). And Hard mode seems like the best balance between feeling like a badass and providing an enjoyable challenge.
