Yeah I might do something like that in the interim.
My solution was 3 velcro ties. It still moved a little, but one day it occurred to me to just put a folded piece of paper and put it in between the battery and the strap.

Anyone bought perscription lenses for the Oculus Quest 2 yet? I’m interested in a set, but wanted some first hand accounts of using them?
Nice trailer, from the creator of Dreadhalls
So my silicone face cover and AMVR controller grips finally arrived. The silicone cover fits neatly enough, though it’s less comfortable than the standard foam. The main problem is it causes my glasses to fog up in minutes. There’s a nose / light cover which I may just cut off, because it’s pretty useless without ventilation. I can’t say I ever notice light leakage anyway. I may need to get the VR Cover’s faux leather face cover instead, which will be another month’s wait, but I’ll get there eventually.
The AMVR grips are pretty good, once I figured out the arcane instructions and realised that yes, you’re supposed to force these super wide straps through these tiny holes which is awkward as shit and almost rips off the rubberized coating. But once installed they feel pretty good, no chance of letting go of the controllers, although I can’t say it improved my Beat Saber performance one bit! In fact I have to use the “claw grip” to get anywhere these days. Still stuck on level 23 of the campaign, neither option seems remotely possible.
I was looking into them and seriously considering either VR Optician or WIDMOvr, both were highly rated, but the price was 50% of the cost of the Quest 2 so I baulked! I also looked into some cheap lens holders available on etsy, but to make the lenses locally costs even more than the VR Optician option! I think the only realistic way is to order some cheapish lenses from Zenni Optical in the US (the recommended option for the etsy holders) which I think is what I’m going to try - they’re about half the price of lenses here by the time I get them shipped. Until then I’m stuck with my glasses.

Would be great if that music was in the game and not just in the trailer.
Still good, runs decently on my aging 1080ti setup. They released a patch a few months in that improved performance quite a bit. As long as you can stand the occasional jitter/hiccup, the gunplay fits VR better than Skyrim IMO.

Agreed. I played this for about 2 hours last night and had a blast. It’s not perfect, but the gunplay and the environment is fun.
Spent an hour just cleaning up Sanctuary for the new residents. Building settlements in VR is better than in the normal game to me.
EEeee my battery pack thingy has shipped! Can’t wait!
You guys didn’t tell me there were Serious Sam VR games. buys all three
So I tried Overload today. It was… fine! I mean, I only played it for a few minutes, but just enough to confirm that I don’t projectile vomit while doing crazy shit. I did approach my limit after an hour in Battlezone yesterday though, a particularly long mission with lots of fast turns and gliding around in a hovertank, and I wasn’t feeling 100%. But it’s getting there.
Those look pretty good! Do I need all three though? Hmmm, let me think about that.

Euro Truck Simulator and American Truck sim both support VR. Just leaving that out there.
I finally received the part that did fix my G2; the cable was the culprit. Sent back the faulty parts and flew again! Yes! Got my wings back!
Yup. Can’t remember if you still have to specifically install the VR branch on Steam or not. It’s been a while since I played either in VR.

Awesome! I wonder what part of the cable went bad. Any theories?
Oh yeah there’s an Oculus branch! Thank you!

I suspect the junction box. But it’s a one piece part so meh.
I get to fly again, whooo! And just in time for the 2.7 release too!
So I loaded the Oculus branch of ES2 and it was nothing but problems. Didn’t see my Oculus controllers OR my xbox controller, so I couldn’t really do anything, and didn’t seem to be in VR either, but I didn’t actually go into a truck, just fought with the menus.
