I think it does. I watched season 1 & 2 on netflix, season 3 is the first I’ve watched in “real time”. I never noticed the issues everyone seems to have with the pacing of season 2. I mean, I can kind of get it now that it has been pointed out to me, but running through the entire season over the course of a week really masked the problems greatly.
And Cutty from The Wire, which is perfectly fine. What’s your deal?

Well shoot, next week looks like a good ol’ fashioned hoedown.

And the sneak peek scene they showed on Talking Dead was scary! I hope [redacted] sees the threat coming in time.

Walkers ripping apart a fresh corpse, entrails being devoured, blood everywhere - mercifully cut to commercial…
Kentucky Fried Chicken!
Cosmically bad product placement. :-)
But other than that, zombie shit hits the fan next week.

My brother noted that with some amusement.

Not only that, but the tag line was something about “eating fresh”.

Did last nights episode end on a low note? Andrea hugging the governor… I guess they are trying to make it look like she is more loyal to him then Rick.
But not much of a cliffhanger ending which is how they usually end each week. Did I miss something?
“FRESH TASTES BETTER!” was the line. I literally laughed out loud. Someone at AMC doing the ad placement for this episode has a wicked sense of humor.
What was with the crazy coot living in the cabin? It seemed like he had no idea there was a zombie apocalypse happening, even threatening to call the cops on Rick and crew. Yet I would have to assume the dead dog was intentionally kept there to give off the decay smell which would make the walkers pass on by and mask the presence of a human. Strange bit that seemed forced for a little extra drama and the gratuitous gore scene.

I’m assuming the old coot lost his mind gradually, and we just saw the end of it.
The show is a big commercial, basically. Next episode Rick is going to drive down to KFC in his shiny new 2014 hyundai to collect the Walking Dead collectors cup.
I think it was that the Governor was holding Andrea the same way he held Maggie just minutes earlier, and repeating some of the same dialogue. Just adding fuel to the “Boy, the Governor sure is evil” fire.

Andrea just told the Governor that the experiment was a failure, and nothing of the person remains once they become a zombie.
In other words, Andrea just told the Governor that his daughter, who is a zombie, cannot be saved.
That stuff between the Governor and Maggie was intense. Kudos to the actress who plays Maggie for her performance in that scene, and even bigger kudos to the actor who plays Glenn for his facial expressions and body language when they brought Maggie into his room. His unspoken anguish and hatred were crystal clear. I’m kind of hoping Glenn is the one who gets to stick a sharp object into the Governor’s brainpan.

Glenn is totally going to kick some serious ass now.
Yeah, I was talking about just this last night with the wife. I was like, “You know, it was like they had about 2/3 of an episode before they got to the Beginning of the End of this season, so they throw in the cabin guy to fluff the episode out.” Because that whole thing came out of nowhere and went nowhere.
Maybe would have been better off making the mid-season finale episode an hour and a half.

Bad Fatal Instinct 2 flashbacks ;)
Re the Crazy Coot: how probable is it that he could have been just about a mile away from Woodbury without having been discovered by the Governor’s guys or incorporated into the town somehow?

From the Gov’s point of view, if he really is just a crazy old coot, why bother? He’s one more mouth to feed, won’t contribute anything useful, and isn’t a threat. Why not leave him out by himself to (probably) get eaten sooner or later?

Yeah I know. That is why I think there will be a reference to this character or house in the near future. Maybe he is the old governor that was ousted. Maybe he was removed from the camp for an indiscretion he committed and subsequently banished.
I don’t think they would leave such an out of place piece of subject matter alone like this. I think they will bring this encounter back into the fold even if it is in a minor way.

Crazy Coot was just there so that Michonne and Rick could prove their badassness to each other some more. He’ll grab a dude’s shotgun. She’ll stab a dude in the back. The team will throw body to the zombies to escape. Their half of the episode was all about Michonne gaining respect for Rick and company and how they take care of each other.
