Three seasons of precedent and the producers said this would be a shocking episode.

Though I suppose if they suddenly found a cure, no one died, and the series concluded, that would be a shock…

They are really loving killing off the kids this season, so Carl better watch his back. We got Mika and Lizzie, dead kid in the shower, mud pie girl, Judith’s fake death. Weren’t there a few unnamed ones too?

I wouldn’t mind seeing Carol go. She had a great arc unlike others like T-Dog. They should brutally kill Lennie James’ character as punishment for Low Winter Sun.

I just read an interview with Andrew Lincoln where he promises that we will see a new, savage side to Rick tomorrow night. Which either means Carl dies or Rick dies and turns.

Because he overheard their discussion about raping Michonne, Rick for once has no reason to want to talk peacefully with this new group of people(Daryl’s group). So unlike the time he tried to get along with the guys in the prison, or the Governor and his people, we might see Rick go straight into cold blooded killing mode. I think that would qualify as new and savage and it wouldn’t require Carl to be put in jeopardy.

Just rewatched the scene where Carol and tyreese discover crazy girl killing little Micha. What a disturbing scene.

What i didnt catch the first time around was that carzy girl was going to kill baby judith after micha if Carol and tyreese hadnt interrupted… crazyshit…

While I enjoyed the bits with Daryl’s gang and the discovery of Terminus, overall I was disappointed in this episode as a season finale. A good 40% of the episode was “flashback”, and while the scenes at the prison were new, not rehashed previously viewed scenes, and they technically setup the pocket watch reveal, I also felt they were redundant and wasted a lot of time that would have been better spent building on the Terminus thing. Yes, we get that Rick is evolving here, we get that he’s leaving his righteous lawman and coulda-been-a-farmer personas in the dust and is going into full on bad-ass Rick mode. We don’t need to be hit over the head with it repeatedly in scenes that do nothing but waste 15 minutes of the final 40 minutes of our season.

So Terminus. Seems like a lot of people for a cannibal den. Creepy candle room seemed to indicate some pretty severe trust issues with outsiders. So the solution is to lure them in, take all their stuff, and eat them? Uh, OK?

“Shocking!” Nope. Okay, Rick got a little more elemental with a classic zombie move, but I wouldn’t call that shocking. Terminus was a trap? Well, duh.

As to them screwing with the wrong people, of course they are. Just ask the Claimers.

Pretty high probability survival strategy given the circumstances… no food? Gotta stay alive? No supplies? Need stuff? Eat ppl and taketheir stuff. Makes sense.
