“They’re going to feel pretty stupid when they find out.”

“Find out what?”

“That Daryl burned down that moonshine shack.”

-Tom

When I heard “they’re going to feel pretty stupid when they found out,” I honestly thought he was going to follow up with some actual plan, though we hadn’t seen any plan beyond sneaking in the back. Like he’d planted bombs along the fence or Tyreese was waiting to see how things went.

When has TV show Rick ever done anything intelligent, or had a good plan? =)

“They’re going to feel pretty stupid when they find out.”

“Find out what?”

“That I didn’t want their cannibal meat anyway 'cause I already had a quick bite on the road.”

“They’re going to feel pretty stupid when they find out.”

“Find out what?”

“That Scott Wilson and Emily Kinney were only in the cast list for this episode because of a flashback scene.”

He needed a monocle. Everything sounds more earnest with a monocle.

Possible new looks for Rick next season:

My god, he means business now!

Best line re-write yet. Nice one.

Mom & baby are doing well! The lack of sleep Sunday night & beyond is having an effect on me though…

Congrats on the baby!

You could use a little sleep though. Your eyes look a touch blood shotted.

You know, I have a relatively slow connection here, so I navigated to this new page and immediately saw the text about mom and baby doing fine. I nodded to myself, thinking, “oh, it’s cool that he posted an update to — AAAH!”

I honestly jumped in my seat when the pick finally popped into the browser.

I think they need to feature at least one baby zombie at some point. The Crawling Dead.

That photo reminds me of my younger days when my friends and I would go to the movies every Saturday afternoon for the “kiddie matinee”, usually made up of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th run AIP features like the Roger Corman Poe movies or something from Hammer Studios. Always two movies with an old serial (Commando Cody or Batman) between the features. Most of the time we would hoot and holler, laugh and throw popcorn at the screen. But one day they showed a movie that scared the ever-loving shit out out of me, and still haunts me to this day. The big reveal actually had me running to the back of the theater, covering my eyes. I was 12 at the time and it haunts my dreams 50 years later.

That movie was William Castle’s Mr. Sardonicus.

Then again, the ending of a lot of movies could be improved with a Punishment Poll.

Let’s face it, tgb - scary stuff from our day isn’t all that scary anymore.

Beyond maybe the bad acting. ;-)

Oh yeah - I can watch that clip today and not bat an eye. But when I was a kid and watched horror movies all the time, it was the only one that really got to me.

This generation really needs a William Castle.

True, dat.

For a while there, back in the 80’s and 90’s, I thought maybe John Waters would take up the role. But he kind of fell to the wayside by avoiding populism.
