Wallet Threat Level

This week, Wallet Threat level yellow?

Bridge Contructor Portal - PS4, XB1, Switch
Into the Breach - (from FTL developers) - PC
Gravel - New Square Enix off road racing game - PS4, XB1, PC
Mulaka - Adventure game set in Northern Mexico - Switch, PS4, XB1, PC
Payday 2 - Switch

I hope Gravel gets a demo or something. I’m always interested in racing games. I hope it gets good reviews.

Edit: Apparently Gravel demo did come out today.

For me it’s Into the Breach and (gasp!!!) Chrono Trigger on Steam (stealth release, apparently.

I was excited (or at least interested/curious) about this, but it looks like it’s just a straight port of the mobile release. Like, the finger interface is there. I understand the stealth release.

Yeah, that’s… disappointing. :(

Into the Breach is here… Wallet threat level octarine!

Definitely a high threat level this week. Don’t forget that Space Tyrant also released today as well and is 20% off.

Ah yeah, and that’s my jam, too. Thanks for the reminder!

Space Tyrant is brilliant. But I had bought it already in Early Access, so no threat to me this week. ;)

Space Tyrant does look pretty cool.

The only part that makes me hesitate is that it has “Space Cards”. Any kind of card mechanic in a game usually just puts me right to sleep. It’s like taking a sleeping pill. I think Witcher 3 is the only game where that didn’t happen.

I think they just give you bonuses or powers.

I guarantee these are not sleepy cards. They mostly blow stuff up.

Technically they are Tyrant Powers that use Crystals to activate. But mostly, they blow things up.

Don’t worry. The card system works really well in this case without being too obtrusive. This game has a very elegant design overall, and I really appreciate it for that.

I don’t think you have to worry.

First off, what the hell is wrong with you???

Second off, allow me to reiterate what everyone else is saying. This isn’t a deck builder or anything. It’s just a game that represents some stuff with cards, including a sort of space magic system. You shouldn’t have any problem staying awake.

@rhomarim. Fine. I added Friday too. :)

Alternate title, Wallet Threat level: Game Pass.

For me the big release this week is Ni No Kuni 2, on Friday 23rd. Just saying.

MLB the Show 18 is also available on Thursday if you pre-order from the PS store. No idea what changes they made this year but I’m looking forward to it.

Yeah, if you include Friday’s releases, Ni No Kuni 2 and A Way Out are big releases this week as well. I’m still confused that No Way Out is a budget-priced title. That looks like this huge AAA game release, but is listed as an Indie game in preview sites, and is not a full priced title.
