Wow, GiantBomb talked about the Death Stranding review screenshot thing. It’s even more bonkers than PC Gamer made it sound. Seems to be tied into Valve promotional stuff, so it’s not just dumb, it’s ethically icky.
“As a special request from Kojima Productions and 505 Games we are asking everyone to please use the screenshots in the above link in numerical order and do not crop the images in any way or remove the legal lines at the bottoms.”
FWIW, the PC Gamer review no longer contains that text, and does contain screenshots, which I think are the official ones. However the reviewer bio says:
Carrion looks interesting this week (you play as a slowly growing nightmare of a monster). Not a wallet threat to me, technically, since it will be released on Game Pass Day 1. Any other big draws?

I think the game has made a significant jump in graphics, but I’m a little worried about the UI now. That vehicle list looks very cluttered. Also, I’m a bit concerned that the only footage of this game is from the announcement trailer 3 years ago.
Anyone picking up Creaks? Let me know how it pans out. I love me some Amanita, but can’t really justify it while I’ve got three other games on the go from last week.

Family Mysteries: Poisonous Promises | Xbox One, Switch
If folks like giant robots blasting each other with beams and missiles or maybe just slicing each other up with laser swords, then this one is worth a look. It is the first essentially fully western release of a long standing Japanese arcade fighting game (we don’t talk about Gundam Versus for PS4 as that was a gutted release as a test of the western audience). It is a technical 2v2 fighting game which can be brutal online to anyone as aged as myself. However this release has the fantastic VS AI modes that previously only import (foreign language) copies had. Here is where I talked about a previous version:
I played the pre-release this weekend and am quite excited to finally get a version I can fully read (the voices are still Japanese with subtitles from its anime roots).
