What I really wanted on my Ironbreaker is some form of highlight on the hotbar for the “buff” attacks, so that I can see when I need to reapply them without looking all the way up to the tiny buff icons on top.
That would be really an improvement.
I like this addon, because it uses buff bars with icons instead of just hard-to-see icons. I position them in my FOV.
There’s some kind of Nvidia fix here:

I don’t know if it works or not, I’m using a radeon.
Anyone have any idea what the fuck the point of the clone army of wandering questgivers is about? They inevitably give some sort of repeatable kill quest that rewards like 60 exp and a seed, which wouldn’t be worth the effort even if you could reliably find them again to turn it in. So what on earth are they meant to accomplish?

Another internet myth without any factual explanation.
There are plenty of these. When one game has problems you see all these threads with “magic” fixes that are just a matter of wronged perception.
It’s like believing in miracles.
Well, there’s about 18 pages of replies with people saying it worked.

Proven to work. I’m sure you can come up with any number of reasons behind it.
I tried that, and WhinySpellTimer, and found WST to be a touch more useful, but not as pretty.
While ZBB has lovely icons and is colour coded, it doesn’t differentiate between self buffs and enemy debuffs/dots and effects on your target. This gets a touch confusing for me. WST puts self stuff on the left and enemy on the right. With a small edit to make the text MEDIUM sized (seen in the comments of the WST addon) it’s quite nice to use. Colours and icons would be great, but I find it does the job nicely.
I’ve heavily modded my interface over the weekend. I’ll post a screenshot later as I think it’s good enough to want to copy! Hehhe.
I was wondering about that. I guess they are for crafting, but like you say, the reward is way too feeble.
ZBB has two windows: one for effects on you, and one for effects on your target. You can position them separately via the UI editor.
I believe they’re “fallbacks” for if you get up to level X and suddenly realize you wanted to do cultivation and can’t find seeds. It lets you get your skill up. Similar to the junk stuff for salvaging, for instance, that has no particular use other than to skill up.

The seeds they offer as reward seem to always crit, so they return the plant and the seed instead of just consuming the seed. This could be very handy for grinding the cultivation skill, and possibly apothecary, if there aren’t any skill gaps (I’ve found a quest giver for a level 1 seed and a level 50 seed, but I don’t know if there is a lvl 25 seed quest guy out there).
Bloody hell, you’re a legend. I think I like ZBB more for the pretty factor - I’ll have to try it out and compare. There were some things ZBB don’t do and I can’t recall what they were and how much I’d miss them from WhinySpellTimer.
Is anyone else getting scenario AFKers on their servers? We have a whole guild (Korean Netcafe Mafia- they’re actually a pack of Australian griefers) who use bots to log onto scenarios so they get free experience. It ruins the match when you are two or three people down. They openly boast about using bots and how it doesn’t run against the ToS, since Mythic hasn’t done anything about it. Just wondering if this is a local phenomenon.
Peter! I’m on the same server. And I have the same RL first name. Weird. Tinypirate here, hook me up in game.
Those KNM guys are being reported left right and centre and you SHOULD report them for renown farming. There IS being action taken against them, but I don’t know what. And yes, they’re very annoying.
Made some mods to my UI and thought folks might like to see. The custom shaping is done using “Vertigo”, the other bits and pieces include CleanUnitFrames, ZBuff, Waarg for the top bar etc.

The goal was to place the buttons on the screen where they roughly are on the keyboard. The bottom row of big buttons are, on the left, Q and W, and on the right, R and T. The ones above are the shift+ versions of those, and the one above that are 1 2 3 and 4 5 6. I find this visual mapping makes it much easier to find the skills I Want to use!
Looks good! But how can you not use Warhammer Scrolling Combat Text?! Are you ill!? ;-)
Which addon are you using for the square map? ZMiniMap?

I admit that I snickered at the people complaining here about pre-fab groups in the scenarios, but almost every round of Phoenix Gates that I ran yesterday (and that seems to be the only Tier 2 scenario people play on Ostermark (at Tier 1 people only seem to play Nordenwatch)) had a group of 5-7 Destruction players from a single group who ran around in a little ball of death. Quite unpleasant. It got to the point where my friend and I just gave up on the scenarios. This wasn’t a problem in Tier 1.
Between that and not doing many PQs for the last couple of chapters due to a lack of people my character is starting to underlevel the standard quest content. Very frustrating.

Supposedly this is a bug. Other servers are experiencing the same issue- only PG pops in T2 and never Stonetroll or Mourkains. I just dinged R20, so I’ve been doing the T3 lava scenario as I find T2 PG to be exceptionally painful. The pace is slow and the flag rarely gets captured (unless you run against/with an organized group).
If this is a bug, they really need to fix it asap. Four days ago on Ostermark all of the T2 scenario queue times were under 10 minutes. Now Stonetroll and Mourkains are inifinity and PG is 10-30 minutes.
